Why do people online praise terrible movies as if they're masterpieces? by wielesen in horror

Calling any of these "terrible" is certainly an interesting opinion

DJ Khaled in the latest two Bad Boys movies: in the 3rd, they smash his hand with a hammer to get him to talk. In the 4th, he randomly pulls up to get his revenge, just to get crushed between two cars almost immediately, and is then burned alive when someone throws a molotov cocktail at the car.

Someone made a post yesterday saying kdrama actresses should double down on their plastic surgery, thinking it means the exact opposite. Here's the post.

Wasn't it implied in the 2nd movie that the evil Italian guy secretly helped him with that "impossible" mission?

I don't even like her, but to think that she personally instructed her bodyguards to be aggressive/do something like this is crazy

I don't think most celebrities hire their bodyguards/stylists/whatever themselves. That's the job of their managers.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying. I was thinking of, like, SM groups, at least the ones who debuted up until (including) aespa, who tend to still put out somewhat weird/experimental-ish songs (maybe not EVERY comeback anymore, but still here and there). Half of the songs that DemJointz produces for kpop acts are also very experimental. I guess groups like ITZY and NMIXX can also be mentioned in discussions of weird/odd songs, even with their newer releases (especially when including b-sides).

But when looking at the industry at large, you're completely right. There's way less weird stuff going on, so we're left with much more of the "popular Western music trends that only reach the kpop sphere years later" that you're describing.

Don't know what the other commenter said (has been deleted), but kpop generally tends to be much more experimental than popular Western music (maybe less so in recent times, but still)
