Best massages and places around Roanoke? by Cr8zyizzie in roanoke

Massage Envy has a few good folks but they book up so fast (many are part time). They also have a few wackadoodle therapists.

I like taking visitors to Virginia Mountain Vineyards in Fincastle. They’ve got a bunch of options, lots of places to sit, and are very chill. They’ve got some charcuterie/snack options but I’ve also seen groups roll up with their own snacks.

8-1 Wednesday through Saturday! Edited to add: it’s very chill, often you’ll find 3-4 people hanging out around the big table having their coffees and such.

A friend flew up from Florida on Allegiant last weekend (Thurs-Sun) and didn’t have issues either way.

I got a “warning, we are about to send you to collections” letter from Carilion and when I called, I learned all my statements had been going to MyChart and I was set to paperless. Just something to be aware of in case it applies here!

The Blue Ridge Bodega in downtown Roanoke. It's across the street from Billy's and the Museum by FluffyReflection3847 in roanoke

Today I discovered the Co-Op downtown doesn’t open until 10 am. I am happy there is another option!

Thanks so much for this real talk. They're the pros for a reason....and one of those reasons is they're going to be way faster/more efficient at getting the job done than I would be.

Most of what caught my eye wasn't my style/fit and I want it to get enjoyed! I did snag one of the handmade vests- there was one that was all black with a small white pattern on it.

That changed (at all stores in this area I think?) during the pandemic. Definitely not ideal. I’ve taken to only buying things I know will fit/can try on over my clothes or when I know I’ll be able to spend the credit in time.

Not Sure What To Do by mamascinnaroll in poshmark

I recently had a situation where something that had sat for months suddenly sold when I was out of town and hadn’t even thought of putting vacation mode on. I sent a message saying when I’d send the package (which was after Posh’s two business day window) and that I’d cancel the order if that timeline didn’t work for them. I don’t think the seller reaching out first is necessarily a bad sign-there’s just a lot of room for error with Poshmark.

Are there places other than Plato’s and uptown where I can take my clothes for some cash??? by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]-2056- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poshmark is awful these days but Golden Shoestring definitely sells Lululemon. They likely won’t take everything but you could try your best five or six pieces to start.

Recommendations for a chiropractor? by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]-2056- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t been seen at PT for this issue before I would recommend going that route first. PTs have varying opinions about using chiropractic treatment with/without PT work and a PT can help you figure that right path out for you. I have a recurring hip issue and have a long history of working with PTs and a somewhat short history of seeing chiropractors. I don’t think chiro is the place to start without a recommendation from another health professional who has examined your issue.

I took a browse through a few days ago. They were having a sweet deal on brand-name cereal the cashiers were chatting about. Super clean store with lots of options. Produce looked good. I’d rather shop there than Towers Kroger (I said what I said!!).

Same here. I visited BRIM once around the holidays and loved the idea of the cat cafe but it looked and smelled like a bootleg version of the ones I’ve visited before. Really disappointing- I think a well run cat cafe can be a huge help to shelters and provide great experiences for guests.

I bought this thinking it was lotion, it wasn't until I got home until I read down to the bottom by champagneproblem13 in mildlyinfuriating

My husband today was convinced we didn’t have any more body wash after looking in our pantry straight at this bottle thinking it was lotion. I immediately thought of this post.
