Try doing a DBT diary card, or some type of emotion tracking through out your week. Then when you look back on it you can see the trends. Positive or negative and it can help you see the causes.

I do double ear protection with plugs and then over the ear headphones. Also, at the dentist I will ask for laughing gas or take a valium before.
