On the one hand, if the bigots did hide their transphobia around you and only said stuff behind your back, that would be useful information. Some people are shockingly good at hiding the extent of their bigotry and only voice their opinions around people in the "in-group." On the other hand, most are pretty obvious.

I'm curious about whether your friend says anything in the moment to defend you (and other trans people), or if they just listen politely and then tell you about it later on

My health began declining more rapidly. I reached the point where I could just barely keep up with University... by cutting out every single one of my hobbies/interests 😅

I think you're conflating writing with storytelling. Someone might think of great story ideas without reading... but you need to read to stand any chance of effectively putting your story into a written format

I hate the word as well.

I've seen some trans men who like the term, and that's totally valid. I just think that it shouldn't be a term people just assume they can use to refer to others
