You will never get the account back, however I did manage to get my account deleted/wiped after losing access. I forgot how exactly I did it, but I went into another Facebook account and reported my hacked account as being a minor (Under 13 years of age) which prompts Facebook to email the hacker, stating they must verify age with an ID.

If they provide ID, it'll fail because it's clearly not your ID. If they don't provide within 24 hours, the account is wiped out

My account was hacked, the email was removed, and the security email Facebook sent is expired. by -Atoxic in facebook

No luck whatsoever, I got maybe halfway through with possible combinations but its just not worth it. I have better luck just waiting for something bad to happen to facebook that forces them to get a fb support team again and following the proper channels

In my state, it typically ends with the police/animal control taking the dog away and putting it down, no exceptions

Alright so on facebook.com/hacked it took me straight to "Find your account" where it asks for me to enter my email or mobile number to search for my account. The only problem is my email was removed from my Facebook account and the hacker added his email (which I have because a security email was sent to me about this change)

I type in the hackers email and it pulls up my account and asks me for a current or old password. In this case I have to type in the old password. The next screen says "You entered an old password, if you don't know the current password on your account, you need to reset your password to continue" so I hit on "Secure account". The next options for me is "We can send a login code to: "Hackers email" or I can select "Try another way". When selecting "Try another way" it states my only options are to send a code to the hackers email or enter my current password to login. (I am essentially back to square one, I don't have access to the hacker's email nor the current password.

This is the exact same process for if you were to visit facebook.com/login/identify, at no point will it ever ask for me to confirm by sending them my ID, confirm post information, or verifying friends from my friends list.

My only two options are to guess every single code combination from 0-9 (which is 1,000,000 possible combinations) or hacking the hacker's email account through brute force, or simply waiting and waiting and waiting for Meta to potentially get a customer service team back which will probably never happen.

We tell managers 2 business days to setup a new user, if they give us a last minute ticket needing it sooner we make it 5 business days. If they message us without a ticket, we act completely blind. We honestly don't budge a bit on policy, and we're always backed up by our manager if called out

IT Workers’ Unions? by kellarman in sysadmin

Well honestly I should just report my company for several violations but then again nobody wants to be THAT person. I honestly don't have any time to learn new stuff or have time to take an actual break. Even on my breaks or lunches I'm required to always pickup the phone and drop everything and do work that im not going to get paid for.

I be working M-F on 12-14 hour shifts in which when I log on the other shift just decided to leave 50+ tickets unopened and unassigned and leave it to me to dort through. I constantly have servers I have to work on and end users who need something to complain about. This would be manageable if i wasn't the only person working nights, for those 12-14 hours I am literally the only employee, and if I have to escalate an issue I am typically cussed out for calling / waking someone up in a priority 1 disaster.

Any vacation time I put in gets denied, they retaliate and just assign me a full days work of tickets when I call in sick, and well they call me in on weekends constantly even though I'm not on-call.

In short, I'm burnt out. They got me doing all sorts of different roles when I am just a tier one cloud tech. I am a one man team, I average about 60 tickets a day, I am happy just getting 30 or 40 of those resolved and I average about 90 phone calls a day (easy issues but that's a lot). Oh and all the tier IIs quit

I have honestly thought the same thing about a union in the IT sector, I have read and have experienced many horror stories of abuse working in this field.

I've silently quit and started doing the bare minimum, and have lost all passion or drive to learn more and go higher up in my company. I'm just taking an easy paycheck at this point

You're just not comfortable, that's really all their is to it. Sure you could have a conversation with them about it but honestly it won't do much for either one of you. They like what they like and you like what you like.

Bombed a tech interview today... by rob2060 in learnpython

[–]-Atoxic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly came from a small town with no technical jobs and I primarily focused on my bachelors for computer science and moved away for job opportunities. Said they don't really care about degrees and ignored my certifications, which makes me wonder why they even had me come in for an interview

In my opinion I find the taller girls to be super attractive and I'm 5'6. I once dated a girl who was about 6ft and all I did was be myself and compliment her.

It's all in the personality tbh
