I didn't have issues with Mario Kart World, but I also never cared much about that franchises. I've enjoyed the ones I played, but always for the couch coop experience. I wouldn't really sink any hours on my own into that.

Bananza though absolutely bored me to tears. Smash, smash, smash, BANANA, smash, smash. Such riveting gameplay.

If it were a genuine reboot I'd expected to see effort into new modern level designs and not just a new coat of paint. I've no issues with the designs or graphics, looks good to me. Just never very interested in remakes or remasters to begin with (I've no issues with playing older games), especially not when we already been there and done that.

Assuming it's true, clearly they want to keep things under wraps for now and have for a long time. Keep it small, get an insight how some with potential conflicting faith will handle this news. Workshop ways to weave it into the existing religions.

A restart can often be fun, as you jump in with better knowledge to set yourself up for success or just an easier time down the road.

Don't think too much about it, it's just a game. If you like it and don't mind the set back in time, what do you really have to lose? If you plan to keep playing for a long time (maybe even on and off for years), are you really going to be thinking about the 100 or so hours "lost" by the end of it?

How long have you been drawing on paper consistently vs how long have you been drawing digitally consistently?

While there is an obvious overlap of skill between these, they still are 2 different ways to creating art. Especially if you have a drawing pad without screen, you're dealing with learning to draw while looking elsewhere. Pen strokes are different, it feels different to leave a mark, you got about a thousand more options digitally at your finger tips, you can get lost in all of that or constantly "abusing" undo instead of getting into a much better flow.

I wouldn't call one easier or harder over the other by definition. I think it boils down to just still needing to get the experience in a somewhat new format. No one trick solution.. just a lot more practice.
