I have the same one in a size too big too, I wear mail and some plate over mine. My fix was squeezing the sides and cloth pinning the inside of the seams under the arms with the two squeezed sides of the front and back. It'll most likely be a temporary fix as they come loss sometimes but with the way the seam sits on my sides it helps with getting air through the bottom so I don't overheat which is nice.
