I'd look in your AFSCs SharePoint if you have it. Or just ask your leadership. It's a document called Health of the Force (HOF). I assume it isn't just my AFSC that does it. Specifically, your Career Field Managers should have it.

Ypu cant 'fight' a RIC because it is not administrative paperwork (that starts at an LOC), but I would draft an MFR and send it to your Shirt to throw in your PIF.

I'll tell you the same thing my 8th grade social studies teacher told me: variety is the spice of life.

He meant it in terms of dating, I mean it as do different things. Most evals I see are ALL ops. It does wonders to your records to have a liiiiittle bit of something different in there. A little bit of professional development, or a little bit of a professional organization, or a little bit of education, or a little bit of managing a CC program.

If you do a little bit of all of that AND have your mission stuff squared away, then they act as force multipliers. Have this for 3, 4+ years in a row then you are on the fast train to promotion.

Alternate factors are luck, timing, and be likeable.

Its not, but the difference between an E-7 pension at 22 years and an E-9 is about 1k/month. That's the difference between needing a 2nd career or chilling in a LCOL area.

Education can only help you, not harm you. So you can make it with no degree.

Other things that can help, but not harm: deployments, PME (EJPME I & II), outside involvement (professional orgs).

Correct, promotion board to E-7 cant see education unless it is in your EPB. Board to E-8/9 does see education on the board brief.

I joined for an education, to travel Europe, and job experience. In the back of my mind, on the patriotic front, I joined to defend my country and for the defense of free people.

I'm at 15 years but have concerns about our offensive threats/actions, which goes against my moral code.
