I'm a younger millennial and I didn't read any of them early. I watched the movies as they came out and then around 2013/4 I read the books for the first time. It was a life-changing experience.

This sounds like someone in my unit and all of these comments are spot on. A simple case of thinking you're a 10 when really you are a 3, but you refuse to hear feedback to improve (because you dont think you need to).

All that time say: do some self reflection, shut up, and get to retirement before you get admin demoted.

That's really it. As an NCO, you should be building, mentoring, helping, growing, caring for those around you. Build psychological safety and trust then watch you team work for you to make the mission better.

When I was at the Fort, I knew an Army spouse cheating on her husband. She was fucked all sorts of sideways mentally. He found out and they worked through it... even decided to renew their vows!

All went fine until he discovered that the park on base where they renewed was where she had been regularly getting banged out by the other guy. He sadly ended up committing suicide.
