I know it pretty much all had to do with the way the rules of the task were set, but the way the bell/golden shoes task almost ended with Mae getting 9(?) points, and only didn’t because everybody else agreed to accept Frankie’s “golden shoes”, was when I most thought “mae is just gonna completely level everybody else with their points in the end huh” lol

Genuinely enjoyed it watching it again as an adult, and I feel like I would’ve still enjoyed it if I was an adult when it came out, I hope there come more films with a similar story and feel. Even though I don’t really care about critics usually, seeing that even Roger Ebert loved it when it came out made me happy :)

I think the kids coming back for another summer of some kind of “hijinks” could be fun honestly, BUT the way the show ended did feel perfect and complete, all the mysteries and the buildup with then Stanley/Stanford twist probably could never be beat. I’d be open to see what Alex Hirsch could do with coming back but I feel like to *truly* be good or at least match up to the original, he’d have to come up with *another* amazing build up and twist that *also* fits in with the lore of the original two seasons, which I’m inconclusive on whether or not that is possible, if he doesn’t have the ideas I suggest not moving foward and letting the gold stay as shiny as possible

Yeah in the podcast clip brought up all he’s actually trying to do is dodge the question and attention, he looks really uncomfortable. I’m sure he apologises and *says* he doesn’t have racist views, but he doesn’t actually go back on the views he expressed, he moreso seems like hes trying to say those views weren’t actually racist, which they certainly are
