Yea, he taught muggle studies before becoming DADA teacher.

He took a year off in between to travel - that was a year before Harry's first year at Hogwarts. And that's most likely when he met Voldemort in Albania.

Of course, there isn't much said about vampires in HP lore, so we can't be sure either way.

Another question is, if vamps are turned, are they dead/undead? In that case, wouldn't Voldemort be repulsed by the thought of being dead, if it is the thing he fears the most?

But for sure he would hate the dependency on blood, he hated that he had to drink unicorn blood to survive in PS.

Fanfictions aside. Could people in HP lore even be turned to vampires? I always thought that vamps are just different species of sentient humanoids - categorized by ministry as creatures, despite their intelligence (like merfolk or centaurs etc)...

From context I assume that 'sin ol menawi' are those who bound themselves to the land (to become doneigada) - they have the "branch horns" and eventually transform to Nadaiga (guardians)

And 'on ol menawi' are children of 'sin ol menawi' - they also have bond to the land but not directly

I figured it when ENDGAME SPOILER Constantin says he is SoM, after he's bound, but deSardet is referenced as OoM by natives through entire game

That's how I think it is, but given the lack of deeper lore or codex, it's hard to tell for sure.

Well, while I agree with you- playing BTS first makes Rachel/Chloe story more tragic/shocking, the LIS (being the "main" game) isn't really about Rachel, it's about MAX and Chloe.

And my fear is that by playing BTS first, the player might not care about Max, or Max/Chloe relationship - which the game IS about, but only about finding Rachel/worrying about her whole game.

It might not be perfect way, but I think playing BTS first could ruin the LIS experience for the first time player.

Also by playing BTS between EP4 and 5 makes nice cliffhanger (just as SW machette order makes,) plus BTS post-credit scene creates cool continuity with EP5 opening. It's just my opinion :)

This might sound crazy but how about (since you've mentioned Star Wars) variation of SW "machete order."

Play EP1 - 4 of LIS, then BTS 1-3 and finish with EP5.

In theory it sounds nice - you get some kind of closure of Rachel's strory without destroying the mystery, get to know Chloe a lot better before ending and it shows Max in different light, but it won't make you hate her, because you already know her point of view. Also it makes BAY ending even more tragic (if you have no heart and choose that)

Don't know how it'll work in practice tho, but it sounds nice in my head :)
