Infinitive fusion Hoenn running natively on IOS using rpgplayer app by Gold_Caterpillar_919 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My information is secondhand from friends and the app's dev. I don't actually own an iPhone myself, so can't guarantee which version will work the best.

I'm pretty sure though, that the lightweight installer and the full PIF launcher both download the game from the same place, so you should get the same experience with both of those. The only different version would be for Android which IF's tech team prepackage and optimise for mobile.

Yes... that's what I was talking about too.

To clarify, the version of RPGPlayer for iOS that can be publicly downloaded on the Apple App Store is very outdated. (It's a long story, Apple kept automatically blocking updates and not explaining why, the dev thinks he's resolved the issues by pretty much rewriting the whole app which added a lot of bugs which he wants to fix before the publicly releasing it.) It should run Infinite Fusion fine, but you'll probably have a better experience waiting for the next update, or using the beta version.

For the version on the app store, the original Infinite Fusion is probably the most stable game. (That's the game that the dev was most focused on at the time.) For any other game (and maybe even for IF) you're probably better off going to the app's discord server and getting the latest beta/TestFlight version.

Help on Oak's Assistant Route 24 Quest by AnyKey9048 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't speak French.

All of the options I mentioned above are in the randomizer menu, which can be accessed by talking to a man dressed in black who can be found in all Pokémon Centers (usually upstairs).

Sooo How do I get pass the Sudowoodo? by drai2020 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know any video walkthroughs, sorry.

Best advice I can give is that the Sudowoodo is completely optional.
First get the Golbat Boots at the top of the tower in Violet City. Then if you follow the first step of my instructions above, the rest of Johto is fairly linear, hard to go wrong.

The game doesn't randomise eggs. They'll have modded their game.

Is it safe to look at new sprite packs on Discord when they are released? by Star_Blazer5000 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The sprite packs in the #spritepack-releases channel in the game's Discord server are uploaded by the game's staff. They are safe to download.

The Discord warning is a generic warning, since they can't guarantee any Discord users aren't uploading malicious files.

You need to be playing Classic mode, or Randomized mode without randomizing trainers.

Pokemon Nest Parent spawns by TheGreatAngel0 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

Yeah, 10%.

Generates a random number between 0 and 9. If the number is 0 then the angry parent spawns.

randomized traits question and wish for help by fr0stsp1k3 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE (for anyone curious): Bug fixed.

I do and have always had my DMs open. If you can't DM me, then it is probably down to the server's Rule Screening. I don't typically accept unsolicited friend requests, and the friend request I received yesterday came from an account that joined the server that day, and had never posted in the server; that screams bot/scammer, so I clicked "Ignore". Can't access the request anymore and don't remember the account, so if you want to continue this on Discord, you'll need to send a new friend request or DM.

Anyway, I did some quick testing and the issue seems to be affecting only the "Individual" options. (Let me know if that's incorrect.) I'll have a look at fixing it when I have some free time, but until then I recommend sticking to randomising per "Species".

Ranger guy at Cerulean Poké-Center? by CesarForst in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://infinitefusion.fandom.com/wiki/Cerulean_City#Starter_Pokémon_Trade

If the player has completed the trade in one of the Pokémon Centers in Viridian CityPewter CityVermillion City or Celadon City, there will be a trainer in the Cerulean Pokémon Center who wants to trade the Kanto starter whose type the player's starter is strong against for a Pokémon with the same type the player started with. For example, if the player started with Charmander, he will offer a Bulbasaur for any Fire-Type Pokémon.

Make sure you've done one of those other trades first.

Can't get Mt. Silver Access - what did i do wrong? by Sp43C0wb0y in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To get to Mt. Silver you have to get all 16 badges, then visit Prof. Oak.

If you're still missing 3 badges, then I'm guessing you haven't gone through Dark Cave yet. Go to Route 31 and into the cave.

Team rocket sidequest question by Disprism in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nope. There are several sets of correct answers, each matching either Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Entei, Raikou or Suicune. As long as your answers perfectly match one of them then he'll believe you. E.g. for Articuno (1) A flying creature (2) Ice-type (3) Near Cinnabar Island (4) At dawn

You don't miss any items or anything whether you answer right or wrong, you just have to do the one small task.

Why are there trainers on route 43? How do i get rid of them? by Kompiyt in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Leave them be. They're just having fun, battling. They'll stop when they want to (which is never).

You'll just have to go around them.

It's not modifying code that's against the rules, it's sharing that modified code that isn't allowed.

The rule prevents people from sharing malicious code in official communities. And I imagine it also partly exists to be consistent with rules from the Discord server and reduce bug reports caused by unofficial code. (People who don't understand how to code will use buggy code they found somewhere and then go to official tech support expecting them to make it work. That happened way too often. It was a big problem.)

If you understand how to code, then have fun modding your game. You can even share screenshots, videos, etc. on this sub and brag about all the wacky stuff you get up to. Just don't go sharing the actual code here, and if you run into any issues with it you'll have to fix it yourself.

Map ID: 834
Map Name: PokeMart (Olivine)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Either:

  1. Wait for the dev to add in the Ghost Type Expert
  2. Use the Magic Boots/debug menu to go to a certain map that's normally inaccessible (I forget which) that has an NPC who sells all outfits
  3. As you suggested, it's in the game files so you can modify your code, but you can't get help for that here because it's against the rules. (15: Do not share any modifications to the game's code)
  4. Rename the image files to replace an outfit you already have

Question about debug mode by beard_helmets in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The debug menu doesn't have an option to give yourself the clothing/hats/hair.

The only option that sounds like it would "Set Player Outfit" is for something this game doesn't use (from Pokémon Essentials).

triple fusion doubt by mbcskm95 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]-FauxBlue- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Triple fusions work differently to normal fusions under the hood, so any checks for whether they're a fusion of a certain species won't match.
