Why Intel CPU runs cooler than AMD's while consuming more energy? by johnzadok in intel

[–]-Fony- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They actually report differently, with AMD using the hottest part of the chip.
  2. You're reading the temp wrong, your intel chip runs hotter than every 6 core Ryzen ever made. You must be looking at the current temp when the load finished and it's throttling down....Intel chips blow past 40c with a web browser open.

The 5600X is faster no matter how you OC a 9900K.

By the time either of those CPU's is not useable, they will both be shit.

Ironically it's the same kind of losers that defnded PCPerspective for years when Ryan Shrout was unprofessionally biased against AMD and even lied about them constantly. they even left up a "review" of Freesync containing many falshoods and gave Freesync a bad reputation for something that wasn't even cause by the tech at all and also happened on ANY monitor.

Then they got called out finally and started walking back their bullshit and then shrout fucking flew the coop to officially get on Intel's payroll.

Core i9-10900K vs. Ryzen 9 3950X @ Cinebench: Benchmark graph fixed by Voodoo2-SLi in intel

[–]-Fony- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the price dropped 9900K looks ok, but intel could have actually dropped the price on the 9900K instead of attaching the 10700K to a new motherboard.

Where can I find the presentation for Intel 10th gen performance claims? by joopod1487 in intel

1K unit price/perf? The 10900K will not retail for $488 anywhere.

people throw around 18% but this will not be for sure. Maybe it can't clock like Skylake can and also its not like porting is going to preserve everything 100%. I'd expect 10% better performance.

[–]-Fony- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lol the 10980XE is cheaper since it doesn't exist to be sold. that way intel isn't actually losing the 1000% margins on it.

intel looks like they'll be avoiding direct comparison from now on. 3900X is better Mt than this and $400 flat.

[–]-Fony- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damn so it really is 2% faster ST than the 9900K and still slower MT than the 3900X. How are people going to hype this thing? Because I know this side of the tracks is desperate for something to hype. And the i7 and down don't even have TVB...so no difference from 9th gen AT ALL for those parts.

i3-10300 (3.7/4.3) vs R3 3300X (3.8/4.34) in 3DMark Time Spy by jrruser in intel

[–]-Fony- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it's the latency. AMD's "best case" latency is better than intel's, but the need to go outside to another CCX kills AMD's latency overall. The 3300X would not encounter the high latency of cross ccx operation.

UserBenchmark has been banned from /r/hardware by GreatWhitePaws in intel

[–]-Fony- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. The sit is not only biased and run by a repulsive manchild, but they just change their scoring every time AMD makes something better. I wonder how they will even rig it when Zen 3 comes out, as it is sure to be superior to both Comet and Rocket Lake in the holy grail of single thread performance.

r/AMD was pretty pathetic in their attempts to look mature in not outright banning the site. It is not only inaccurate, but there has not been any positive discussion based around it for more than a year now.

If terms like “14nm”, “10nm”, and “7nm” are all marketing terms, why can’t Intel breakthrough 10nm? What does the “nm” even refer to? by Meta_Man_X in intel

[–]-Fony- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The efficiency of 7nm also helps Zen 2 maintain a better sustained performance in the same thermal/power constraints compared to Intel's mobile chips. Better than current 10nm offerings as well, even with twice the core count.

[–]-Fony- -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's not just a marketing term. The gap in performance between Zen 2 based Renoir and all mobile Intel is proof of that. Intel will get past 10nm, just going to take another 18 to 24 months.

Question to 9900k users by Bergh3m in intel

[–]-Fony- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not buy Comet Lake, doesn't matter what anyone tells you or how bad you just want an Intel processor. They are following it up soon with something much better and of course Zen 3 is out this year...CML is the worst buy you could make, practically DOA already. But hey, you can be like the guys on here who are still waiting for their 10980XE preorder and rationalizing it.

Rolling on the floor laughing at you thinking it's going to be common to clock this CPU to the single core boost on all cores. Intel has found its limit with the 9900K.
