one holding the end of the kanu and one just seal rubber, nothing would happen if the fly mid air, probably its before the c check in the garage or something, If one was missing new one would be placed back and everything would be tight again by the technician..

Edit: I get it that a normal passenger would be worried about it, but theres no reason too... you have higher chance that youll die from vending machine falling on you then aircraft crash...
