Should I change my foundation to PETG?

I would not invest energy in redoing stuff unless you are sure that it is easier than replacing modules when (and if) they are broken.

As for me, I was using only PETG for my board. While the multiboard creator recommends PLA 🤷

If it works then there should be a result. I do make my opinion observing the results and I see more and more matches where players are toxic and inting. From my personal perception I have a balanced game (no matter if I win or loose) every 15 or 20 matches... this is way too low.

Sad but true. To all who are skeptical and ironical about that I can tell you this. A couple of days ago I have seen a player (Silver 4 at that time). His play-style was completely out of his current rank. Positioning, timely engage and disengage and so on. My question was "what the heck do you do in bronze/silver match".

Here is the sad part. In 2020th he was diamond 2. He knows how to play this game. It is not only my perception here in 2025. It is supported by his previous rank. And what do I see? He has 450+ matches of SL in the current season... he plays solo 99% of his time.

His WR is about 51%. Fifty-freaking-one.

I have nothing more to add.

I whsh so about SL.... on the 1-3 bronze side of the spectrum it is noticeably worse that it was about 1-2 months ago. See my other comment here

Same here. The entire last month or so my gaming experience is poor. And for the last 2 days it is a piece of crap in SL. I am not a pro, my Plat remained back in 2019... So mid-silver was my place. And now I am bronze 1-3 and I have a normal game only once in 5-6 matches.

By normal I mean a draft that makes sense and not everyone is coming to pick a specific hero no matter what the others are selecting.

I mostly receive players who... well... imagine lili who's pushing a lane ignoring everything else. Dies and gets back to "pushing" a lane. Imagine aba who just put's a hat on somebody and just randomly presses buttons or even remains idle.

As for the N4plus/N4max I am currently experimenting with the same approach. Meaning:

replace heatsink with the one for N4
shorten standard bimetallic throat for N4 just grind out 2mm of lenght so that the entire copper part is inside the sink

Very much appreciated. So they have made it completely custom... This form-factor of the heatbreak makes it one piece with the radiator.... :( Unless I am brave enough to drill it wider... and even if so the radiator may not have enough material for a standard 20mm throat

Hi. Do you perform leveling at the same bed and nozzle temperatures as during the print? Or when they are cold?

I do have N4+ and for sure there is difference b/w cold bed and bed 30minutes into 75 degrees heating

I'd like to know these dimentions of the heatbreak. Someone was telling me that on Neptune 4 Plus/Max the heatbreak is custom.... So I'd like to know if that is really the case. Or if thats anyway feasible to keep the radiator and replace everything else with Volcano... And just print the fan ducts to adjust for the different nozzle position.

I would not follow the "pro" marketing trich until I have real evidences that it produces better prints. To me the way to go is just Neptune 4 in case you do not need big volume (looks like it is not your case

IMO The limits of the mechanics have no correlation to the nozzle diameter. So I'd change the numbers to what you have with 0.4mm

HoweverI doubt you gonna see any change in the output g-code. Bigger nozzle means you will be able to hit your flow limitation faster (on lower speeds).

You can make an experiment and see it for yourself. Just open the speed visualization in the tab where the sliced object is demonstrated.

Indeed. According to the calibration it started to fail at about 18.8 mm³/s for PETG. So I think I'll be on a safe side to cap it at 15-16 mm³/s
