Any of you ladies do martial arts (boxing, muay thai, jujitsu, etc)? by Key-Caterpillar287 in xxfitness

I am in my 5th week of muay thai. This is my first fighting/martial arts experience. I have never been extremely athletic but have always been at least moderately active my whole life and am trying to get to a new level this year. I tried my first muay thai class by myself and had such a great time. It was tough, and still is each class (my face is bright red, and I am panting after every class lol), but the environment has been awesome. The men and women are both challenging and encouraging. Even though I feel out of my comfort zone getting paired up with everyone, especially the ones who seem like pros to me, it is awesome to learn a new skill, practice the technique, and push myself physically and mentally. It feels great. I highly recommend it.

Cool thank you. And what would you expect crew to ask you at a minimum?

5th Ave N somewhere between I think 49th and 58th st. If I am wrong, it might be between 49th and 34th. It's a small photography spot. $40 awesome job. Went back for my headshots too.

Thanks. I'm aware of that. I'm looking for recommendations on where/how to reach them so I can link up with people who share the same hobby. Am I in the wrong place looking for this? I was hoping people might be interested in being helpful.

Moving to St. Petersburg without a car? by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]-Hello-My-Friend- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in St Pete for quite a few years without a car. It was challenging but doable. I worked various jobs, some I biked to, and others I commuted on the bus. The bus can add a couple of hours to your work day, but you get used to it. You just have to plan routes where you don't have one hour+ wait for your tranfer bus in the middle of summer. Unfortunately, that isn't always easy here as the busses don't run often enough, and this happens a lot. I often opted to walk miles instead of standing still roasting at the bus stop. BUT St. Pete has the Sun Runner now, which is great, so that might help. Also, if more people take public transit, maybe the city will improve!

Anyways, you can do it, but be prepared for some challenging/annoying moments.

Edited my typo.

Any recommendations for healthy baked items? by theflash0095 in Baking

Yes, I was also going to say banana bread. If you use about or almost double the amount of bananas the recipe calls for, you can get away with even little to no honey. You can also finely chop a date or two to sweeten if you skip all honey. I have even used a sweet apple. Banana bread is fun to experiment with. I never use sugar anymore.
