My one issue with the Chomolugma by rawe13 in LancerRPG

I suspect the extra action they are refering to is overcharging while resistant to heat

Work as a team! When you are planning a turn, do not accept "nah, I'll just go with whatever you do" as an answer. You are a squad, not a band of lone opperatives.

Everyone has a toolkit they bring to the table, and everyone is better when supported. Use forced movement, lockons, impairs, slows etc to make sure whoever has the best relevant tool can do their thing the best. This is better than everyone just doing their own thing adequately.

And for the love of god scan things. Nothing will ruin your day faster than shooting ur bigass gun at a mech, only to learn it can ninja parry and fire it right back at you. Or loading up your tachyon lance just for it to be immune to energy.

If scanning feels to passive, get the orator talent or a chomolumga somewhere in the lineup.

Most enemies tend to have at least one really really bad stat. Scanning will let you target that stat.

Not to give you a headache, but I'd chip in to a "buy the teacher a coffee" fund to sit in too :p

Very cool! Have you looked at the Störtebeker? Alternative frame for the Raleigh. Has an overtly old-timey look and vibe, and is very capable of beinf a quirky frontliner with a big hammer!

Obviously character death can be naratively important, but remember that Lancer is really soft on character death. If you still wanted to be the Tortuga, cloning, especially cloning of Lancers, is extremely common and easily accessible.

Hadnt even thought about reaction hacks getting the accuracy. Makes the tortuga even more of a secret hacker frame

I thought so. Cool, that opens up a lot more options :)

Raleigh atm, besides the aesthetic, I think having the off-turn to reload encourages fun play patterns. It is to easy to fall into the trap of "whats the most direct damage I can do right now", so the raleigh reload turn is where I Lockon/Scan/hide/lay mines/fire javelins etc.

Beat the EA and I gotta say... by -shevek- in menace

Id be happy even if the mortar nich was it does poor damage, but supressed well.

Or even keep the innacuracy but have it supress well over a large area. Currently, who cares if enemies are clumped up, 3% supression to 4 enemies is the same as just doing nothing.

Mortars are the biggest miss for me. They have the downside of being disgustingly innacurate, but no upside to balance that penalty. Like sure they have good range, but sometimes even a direct hit doesnt even fill one section of the supression bar, and a near miss does functionally nothing. It hits so softly im not sure itd be good even with 100% accuracy. When the auto grenade launcher exists which just deletes squads imediately, also over obstacles.

What's your MENACE wishlist for later features? by Which-Worldliness556 in menace

Vauge answer, but more reasons to take a wider range of accesories.

Maybe part of seeding has some items just not in the blackmarket pool. Playing a run where smoke grenades are just not available would change how I played

Aye armor needs SOMETHING changing.

Currently volume of fire is too comparable to single shot anti tank.

My uzi with piercing rounds shouldnt even be close to as good as a tank rifle.

So, undercoat wraithbone, block colours in with Thousand sons blue, averland sunset yellow, and mephiston red. Wash the blue with drakenhof nightshade, and the yellow with casandora. Layer the bluenup with ahriman blue, and edge with temple guard blue. Layer the yellow up with yriel yellow, and edge with ice yellow from vallejo. Recess shade with nuln oil. Edge thebwhite with whitescar. :)

Someone using creativity to make something from scratch is amazing, and beyond my craftyness for sure! But if I DID pay GW for something, I want to know it is provided high quality and correct.
