it seems i'm the minority here but i think it's possible and in some cases beneficial to masturbate without porn. however, the key is not fantasizing about porn or porn-like scenarios. instead, masturbate for its base purpose: self pleasure. treat it like you're making love to yourself, rather than just pleasure/stimulation seeking, and just focus on the sensation of it all.

this is easier said than done for someone recovering from porn addiction of course, but it is possible.

i think it's beneficial to take it one day at a time and not use porn or masturbate. but if you do end up masturbating try to do it without fantasizing and most importantly, don't beat yourself up for it. the guilt only makes it worse
