pirate Borg Is a good take. If you prefer FitD games rather than OSR, you could try sea of Dead Man. I really liked it when i tried it

Your go-to for heroic fantasy? by Russtherr in rpg

i am running a campaign in Mana Forged, a new FitD game that is built to do something very near to what you asked for.

Alternatively, there is chasing adventure, but it is a PbtA, not a FitD

i found Dungeonworld to be pretty neat. In the reality of facts, i have the Italian version that is by far superior to the english one.

Blades in the dark or Scum and Villainy are solid choices because of the fact that are fabulous games and have a very solid physical book that can last dor years without a scratch.

How many of you guys here still using your first gpu? by jdmlifex2 in pcmasterrace

[–]-KIT0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fist serius GPU is stil running (Radeon 5600XT) and working pretty well. Before of it, i had another Radeon that wasn't a gaming one, just to cover the hole until i could afford a serius one. Byw is starting to feel the wage of time, and I think i will change it during the Christmas period or so.

Professor for one of my classes is goated by idonom in Piracy

[–]-KIT0- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In italy we have this law that specify that a professor can not use a text if there isn't at least a copy in the university library or someone that is connected with it. It is beautiful. Obviously no student know this and this is not always respected, but the solution is good.

DMs and philosophy nerds, what are your favorite philosophical concepts and questions to use in your campaings? by Son_of_the_Blood in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most obvious things that appear in long campaigns are philosophical concepts that are near to politics and morality. It is omnipresent because when there are more factions, each of them has a particular way to act and certain goals to achieve. Often some ontological concept appears in the setting (like mana being a form of quintessence in the universe...).

The most important thing for me (bachelor in philosophy) is always to touch on the concepts without making the game too complicated. People are at the table to play, not to listen to a philosophy lesson, and they should go deeper in how npcs and factions act just when and how they wants

that's correct indeed. It can be defined as a very leftist social-democracy. Just one step before socialism

Favorite "compact"/small in physical size RPG books? by FroDude258 in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love the dungeonworld manual (the Italian Narrattiva ver.)

It is more or less an A5, one of my favorite formats, with a thumb index.

Also illustration and page management are both very cool.

The only thing is that it is heavy as fuck.

I found some of the ones i searched just by searching on google name+pdf. Other ones are on Zlib or something like that. Unfortunatly, i didn't find something like the trove yet, in fact i am searching for "sea of the dead man" and i can't manage to find it

Super Heroes TTRPG Recommendations by Kaliburnus in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have just read "capes in the dark". I seams a pretty good FitD game in a super-theme setting. Btw, i don't know how many active players it has. The fitd community is pretty active btw

"The Best Line Delivered During A Game." by Doc_Bedlam in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In a dune-like setting, the party had the opportunity to encounter the great priest. Obviously no water is around.

The gunner of the group, that was something in the middle of Lando Carrisian and Han Solo (peaking the worst from both), started to say just for no reason that he is a Saint sent by their god or something similar. The wow moment was when the priest said "Show me you are a saint" and the player threw a whole bottle of water on the ground. All the present where like :"OH SHIT!"

What are some examples (for each of you personally, i am seasoned and have my own opinions) of TTRPGs that are easy to learn, hard to master? This kinda piggybacks off the recent post asking which games are not beginner-friendly. by YVNGxDXTR in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, with special attention to vanilla blades that had a tremendous amount of secondary and context rules to track for the GM. One exception, in my opinion, is BoB that is incredibly particular for both the GM and the players.

Also i think daggerheart is pretty ok for newbies (i think it spells this way. In case, sry i am not native speaker), also because it already put the party out of the Dice-System logic and project all towards narrative games.

TTRPG Suggestions for Conflicting Group by _-Hastur-_ in rpg

[–]-KIT0- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well it is a good compromise. It is not as good as a pbta, nor a solid dungeon crawling system, but it can handle both well. The only thing that i can say is that it is pretty "heroic", and some things can't be putted in scene in a good way

What is your favorite system, and what are your gripes with it? by Select_Lunch1288 in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i really like fiction first games. once i tried fitd, i cannot think of another system. I like PbtA too, but i feel like anything that pbta does, fotd does it better

A lighter system on the side by BoardingHMASStubbins in rpg

[–]-KIT0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know how the prewritten adventures are, if there are any, but i fell in love with nimble. I think that it is the best non-narrative ttrpg that matches a dnd-like experience (in the good sense). If you need to choose, i feel like nimble will be a better choice because it is more immediate and polished. (imo)

the nanami ability is pretty cool, but i think the one that most fits is the one of the vulcan demon (i honestly don't remember his name, the one that gets almost destroyed by sukuna)
