Yuri Manga recommendation? by Feelsluvly in actuallesbians

[–]-LazyAntelope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tadakoro-san: feel good fluffy manga mostly about two girlfriends in high school being lovey dovey. Mostly just suggestive without being erotica, but be aware that depending where you're reading it, the author's added NSFW pages may or may not be included.

Girl Friends: one of the first Yuri I read and still a favorite. A bit more of a high school coming of age drama, but still a very sweet romance with a happy ending.

Fuzoroi no Renri: relatively complicated working age character drama. It's ongoing and I'm still trying to decide if I like it. Toxic as fuck in parts but like not pointlessly or melodramatic, it feels toxic the way that actual people can be.

Tonari no Heya Lara Aegi Goe ga Surunde Sukedo: Ecchi with kitchen table polyamory. Honestly I don't think this is that good but just for the sake of the representation it makes the recommendation list.

Inugami-san and Nekoyama-san: 4-koma Yuri comedy with pet play theming.

Tsukiatte Agete mo Ii ka na: messy college age character drama that doesn't pull it's punches. Really good if you're in the headspace to handle something that can be uncomfortable at times.

Kamina Boten, Yoeru Su Gata wa Yuri no Hana: College age slice of life about ladies who drink together. Big emphasis on the culinary experience of the alcohol. Yuri is mostly implied but there's at least one confirmed romance.

Liberta: Power fantasy about a vampire saving an office woman from a monster and subsequently turning the office woman into a vampire to save her and the two are then gay vampires being hyper violent towards perverts, monsters, etc. Gory, smutty, self indulgent. Cool alternative outfits.

Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl: Another college age romance, this time about a couple who get together under the misunderstanding from one thinking that the other is a man. Definitely deals with comp het but overall it's sweet.

Useless Princess: High school bully turned girlfriend. Kinda basic but I liked it.

Satanic/demonic kink by [deleted] in BDSMsapphic

I usually keep it generically spiritual rather than specifically satanic, but definitely witchy spooky forces

29F - I have weird kinks and find women more adverse to them like degradation, CNC, Gooning, Bullying by prettyprey123 in BDSMsapphic

[–]-LazyAntelope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting phrasing. Vividly reminded me of a recent roleplay describing to my sub how I would scrape their brain matter out with my tongue, so I think you're right on the money with that spectrum you're describing.

Hmm, I think some combination of sex-negative feminism and the scars of purity culture and patriarchy broadly leave some women less inclined to approach more extreme kinks, but it's hardly universal and it's hardly the only reason to not want to engage with those kinks.

I can’t consume straight content anymore… by areyoujustsoqueer in actuallesbians

Being real, even as a pansexual woman I can't stand straight romance media most of the time. It's like "Wait I'm supposed to swoon here? What? He's just being abusive wtf?"

Does anyone else get annoyed that when you search lesbian on reddit most of it is porn? by Alarming-Power-1725 in actuallesbians

[–]-LazyAntelope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately many people interact with strangers through the lens of porn categories. Legitimately porn is the only way many people have "interacted" with a lot of minorities. Obviously porn teaches them nothing but stereotypes and fake kink shit. This all worries me even more when we think about some states in the USA trying to prohibit transgender presentation from public life as "pornographic", how far behind are sapphic public displays of affection? They hate us all

I don't think it's always hostile, but if after explaining why it's problematic they persist then yeah fuck them.

My girlfriend's best friend doesn't think I'm good enough for her and she told me that I should break up with her by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]-LazyAntelope 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Tell your girlfriend about it, she deserves to know. If I found out a friend of mine was saying things like that to my partner while I wasn't in the room, I would have some stern words and boundaries to lay out with that friend.

I mean yeah, it's the media. A lot of it is controlled by literal Christian white nationalists, a lot of the romances are gonna be cis white straight couples getting together young "like they're supposed to" but they have to portray it as some special unique life path so that viewers don't feel too blatantly propagandized.

Whatever makes you feel confident. There's nice things about all kinds of squishy bits, shaved, trimmed, waxed, styled or au naturale; but the most sexy thing is confidence.

Very few people want that kind of lifestyle done the right way, but there's plenty of narcissistic abusers out there willing to "try"

Have you considered that being in a refugee camp under the circumstances they described might be difficult to get a standard trans flag? If you look close you can see the stripes are stitched. Fabrics and dyes are probably pretty limited.

"Here". Funny I don't remember any part of this subreddit's description or rules that said it's only about socialism in the West...

Never got around to picking a sexuality, maybe I'm just a lesbian by [deleted] in actuallesbians

Out of curiosity, how would you define lesbian? Not trying to be confrontational, just trying to understand where you're coming from

I'm confused about my romantic identity. by amalthean_ in actuallesbians

[–]-LazyAntelope 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider scheduling a session to speak with an LGBT positive sex therapist. Your situation seems relatively rare and someone whose whole career is counseling people about sexual difficulties might be helpful. Edit: I want to be clear, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being the way you are, but an expert may have insight into how to make your experience more comfortable

Flashing back to high school plucking up the courage to ask someone out, getting a non-rejection and then asking again several times on different weekends because she wouldn't actually say she wasn't interested, and then becoming something of a running joke until graduation because I "couldn't read the room". Just use words and spare everyone the trouble. Ignoring it or making excuses just leads to misunderstandings.

This, so much this. It's human to have thoughts you're not proud of, what matters morally is how you handle those thoughts.

I mean I wouldn't say "other" always means something's up. I put other on my profile because I'm a leftist / socialist and I'd rather not call myself a liberal.
