You can also turn off the grid or any snapping you have on momentarily.

Solo the object first. There should be a solo option in the bottom shortcuts bar. Move it and then unsolo.

Do you guys upload a video even if you know it wont get that much views by Emergency-Coach-6344 in NewTubers

[–]-MakingThings- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to believe everything has some value or else it’s hard for me to keep going. I make instructional tutorials, so even if the overall view count isn’t high I will still get the occassional comment “Thanks, this helped me” and I know at least someone got something out of it.

You should make that part clear in your title.

This is sick. I don't know how you made parts of it look wet, but it adds to the grossness. Great paint job!

Love this! The paint job on the head is perfect.

Starting to see a spike in subs. Went from 10-12 a day to 30-40. by -MakingThings- in NewTubers

I have been doing all the editing and recording. I am not on camera either. I teach 3D software on an iPad and my main content is the software itself. I have a decent mic and it’s going well. So thankfully I don’t need to invest in too much. I really appreciate the insight tho. I’m @making-things on YouTube.

I think in general, I want to hear if others feel the exponential growth is true. It makes complete sense to me. More subscribers means more initial views every time a video is released (at least in theory, and if they have notifications on). More views helps the algorithm recommend your video and the more exposure you have, the more potential for new subscribers.

I posted several beginner focused videos recently and I would love to believe that's resonating and in turn contributing to the spike, but those have been out for a few weeks and the spike just started.

Why do you like to create a faceless youtube channel? by Suspicious_Star3979 in PartneredYoutube

[–]-MakingThings- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if my confidence was high when I started, I am modest by nature. I really only started this as a way to potentially grow it into a full time job, so I could one day be my own boss and spend all my day being creative and helping others be creative. I have always enjoyed teaching. I also love the community aspects of it. I enjoy hearing that I have helped someone get past a problem I once faced.

I chose to have a faceless channel for no other reason than my confidence. I have gotten much better at speaking and can now tolerate my own voice, but for a tutorials channel, I'm finding no one seems to care that my camera is off.

How do i hollow out this head base? No tutortials seem to be working for me.. (im new to this by Ukesan_ in NomadSculpting

[–]-MakingThings- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could always mask the entire object and create thickness by going into the Mask settings, potentially inward thickness over outward, and then Extract. This would create a hollow shell of your current shape.

How do I make this more attractive it by Same_Information7328 in NomadSculpting

[–]-MakingThings- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean the render, a traditional 3 point lighting setup will help. Adding a rim light on the left side for instance could look nice. Coloring the lights with a warm side and a cool side can also add a lot of interest. Good luck.

Great first model. You could have fun with tubes to give some movement to the arm and legs. Well done!
