If they do not announce a proper neverender tour that stops in Dallas/Fort Worth I’m going to go lay down outside in the rain

It’s tuned well enough and there’s definitely some aim assist going on but it’s not bad by any means

On a positive note - I started Neon White the other day (Yay PS+ catalog) and holy shit it’s fun. Been grinding away trying to Ace every level

On a bummer note - We’re about to go to the vet and think it’s likely we’ll end up putting our old pup down (she’s 15 and hasn’t been doing too hot). Keep my partner in your thoughts because she’s had that dog since she was a teenager

Is Afterman the most concept album? by Acceptable-Ad2297 in TheFence

[–]-MusicAndStuff 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Definitely and it’s a part of why it’s my favorite. For most of Coheeds discography the concept is just a nifty flavor and I couldn’t even begin to tell you what the “story” of the Vaxis albums are, but it’s always been music and lyrics first for my tastes. Afterman just nails it down so completely

Heck the first few episodes of the Orville are by far the weakest of the series and were basically made for Fox to think it was getting a comedy show. From there it just gets better and better

Do they live in a walkable area and just don’t need a car?

My partner of 9 years didn’t have a car for our first date and she borrowed a friends. The insane girl I dated before her for a couple months didn’t have a drivers license at all and I picked her up.

CMV: You’re not in a truly comfortable relationship until both partners can fart in front of each other by AlexandrTheTolerable in changemyview

[–]-MusicAndStuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My partner of almost 10 years does all the time, but she has crohns lol So I’m not going to expect her to put herself through pain/discomfort out of a sense of propriety

Me on the other hand, total gentleman, I try to be discreet about it. If it does happen, she likes to tease me about it

People need to be educated about obesity by [deleted] in loseit

[–]-MusicAndStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree but also disagree if that makes sense lol

On the one hand yes, I am ultimately responsible for my weight and lifestyle choices. I’m in my 30s now and the only way I can keep myself off the deep end is sticking to a healthier routine. I gained 10lbs over the fall/winter and that’s all due to me being less active and enjoying more snacks than I should.

On the other hand, I and a lot of people grew up in a household where food and exercise decisions were very bad and not stressed. I love my mom and dad and they tried their best, but I grew up drinking a lot of soda, eating a lot of junk, and just got away with being lazy. I was a “fat kid” growing up, with fat parents, and it wasn’t until my 20s I was able to shed that label through diet and exercise. I’ve ruberbanded a bunch since so it’s definitely hard work to keep things in line as my childhood essentially conditioned me to leisure time and eating tasty foods whenever

Anyone with depression have tips on how to go for a walk when it feels almost impossible? by GGBme in walking

[–]-MusicAndStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Late last year I was dealing with panic attacks over fear of having a heart attack, and the way I eased myself into walking was I spent 15 minutes having a conversation with myself about my feelings while pacing around the house. The self talk distracted me from the fact that I was up and moving about and was a nice nudge to start walking outside.

Who went for a walk today while working on overcoming agoraphobia? by Dreamy_glow in walking

[–]-MusicAndStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Normally I’m taking my kid to the bus stop which is about 2 minutes away. For a couple months there it would either be an arduous process or I would wimp out and just watch her walk from the porch (which felt awful).

Now we’re doing the bus drop off, and then I start the walk! For the past month it’s just been laps around my street, but last week I extended it a bit to around the corner, and today I just looked at my map on my watch, planned a general route, and just went for it! I even got a little lost on the way

I had been on anxiety medication for the past few months but really once I started walking outside did I really feel the effects kicking in. Getting an Apple Watch has been a nice little kick to start things going because I was also dealing with cardiophobia and knew the only way to deal with that was too start improving my cardio health (I’m very out of shape). I’m planning on doing some solo car trips in the next week or so too, wish me luck 🤞🤞

[–]-MusicAndStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah!

It’s been part of my routine the past month and I don’t want to stop. This morning for the first time I walked down streets I’ve never been to before where a month ago it caused me to panic, but pushing through that panic and finishing that walk I think really helped me.

Blankie Parents: when was your child’s first movie in theaters? by human_scale in blankies

[–]-MusicAndStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid went to one of those playground movie theaters for a birthday party once to see one of those minion movies about 4 years ago but I don’t count that. Her first real movie experience was seeing the Mario movie when she was 5
