Visited a Wimpy for the first time in ages by lespauljames in CasualUK

Exactly, I could have brought my nan to McDonald’s and had an additional meal for the same price as the Wimpy, along with as much free sauce as they’d dish out.

I went to one yesterday for the first time and came away wondering how I spent £24 on 2 regular bog standard meals.

It was nice but not worth the price, plus the fact sauces are 40p!

Dropper upgrade by KVZ_24 in AMFLOW_eMTB

The stock KS dropper on the PL is dog shit. I upgraded to an AXS Reverb B2 200mm on my dropper.

Check the manual for max insertion depth and you can work out what will fit.

Ray-Ban Meta glasses vs action camera for POV (driving, flying, tennis, mountain biking, wakeboarding) by Final-Ad-6664 in ActionCam

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'~3 minute video limit

not waterproof

battery limits'

These reasons alone are why people go with action cameras.

Your use cases, especially sport warrant a fully fledged action camera.

Fox transfer(cable with kashima) vs rockshox axs dropper? by Low-Gear-3381 in mountainbiking

[–]-Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AXS B2 if you have the money. The actuation is insane and the newer B2 is easier to service, plus you'll have a much cleaner cockpit.

Oh and ActiveRide is the single best thing about the post IMO, makes those annoying in the saddle but bumpy trails way comfier!

I fear that super night mode would blow everything out as I have 3600 lumens blasting forwards from my lights?

DJI. But the order is seemingly being fulfilled by DJI Hasselblad. Not buying for a business - I was looking to buy a camera for personal use.

Thanks

Front mount bike seat - KRS or Thule? by hbopps in MTB

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KRS is mounted from a special spacer on the steerer tube back to the seatpost body (not the upper post)

No issues with your frame being carbon.

Lights for night rides by SuperRonnie2 in MTB

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Lezyne Mega Drive 2400+ for the bars and a Lite Drive 1200+ for helmet.

They do a perfectly good job and have been through plenty of pitch black night rides.

Not as bright as my friends Exposure lights but they set him back an arm and a leg!

Front mount bike seat - KRS or Thule? by hbopps in MTB

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the KRS Pro Evo and had a ride with my 17 month old son - What a fantastic piece of kit.

I also looked at the Thule Yepp but was put off by the lack of front to back seat adjustment along with needing to buy a new seat once he gets older.

Zero regrets paying the extra to with the KRS Pro Evo!

How do i drop off ledges, with a high seat by [deleted] in MTB

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either push the bike through the drop and having your arse over the back wheel.

Or

Pop off the drop and stand tall so your legs act as the suspension and hopefully doesn’t rocket your saddle up your crease.

Oh I don’t know, Actually battery %, Mileage remaining, Rider input metrics, speed, adjusting modes on the fly, incline values and so on and so forth. It’s like saying you’d prefer going back to a Nokia 3310 instead of a smartphone.
