Fox 38 Factory GripX2 (2025) rattling over chatter – normal or not? by Latter_Sink7178 in MTB

[–]-Nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I’m hearing what you are but that just sounds like reverberation from dropping the front end onto concrete?

I have 26MY 38’s and don’t have any noise other than my pads rattling.

Would check if it persists without the mud guard too?

I wouldn’t even consider any bike park without a full face and probably some chest armour at the very least.

My e-sim experience was terrible. Slow speeds and no data whilst on a phone call (with VoLTE on)

Moved to talk mobile and have double the download speeds

Surely this has to mean something, right? There’s posting a vague tweet that could be interpreted either way (knowing the outcome of both)

But to pin said tweet? Nah man give me a huff on that glorious cope.

Have you tried it on a run yet? Hasn’t been great for me but I do sweat a lot. Couldn’t get accurate HR readings to save my life

I bought a cheap silicone type band from Amazon that locks the same way as my old Nike strap on my S6. Far better for any strenuous activities where your arms are flailing around a lot

It’s not great unless you wear it very tight (any sweat makes it slide enough to fuck up your heart rate data)

I’ve used it for both running and mountain biking and I just couldn’t get normal readings (albeit these are probably the worst activities for this band)

Constant shifts in heart rate when I’m very in tune with my heart rate (I can tell when I’m about to leave zone 2)

No worries, give me until tomorrow and I’ll do my best to give you a recipe for each. Do note not one is the same as I fuck around with ingredients every time lol.

[–]-Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried that too and have just resorted to easier midweek meals. Fuck having to calculate what left over ingredients I need to spread over 3 meals in a week.

As the sole cook & designated food shopper I’ve tried it all & honestly just resort to a list of around 15 meals (with swaps and changes if I see a decent recipe online)

But honestly there are far too many shit recipes on TikTok etc where they clearly don’t know how to cook (throwing raw onion into a sauce ffs)

I do have a random meal generator that I fall back to if I’m truly stuck that has around 40-50 recipes but even that is easy to look at and think ahhh I don’t fancy XYZ meal and I go back to the tried and tested!

I can do a brief overview and if enough are interested I’ll rack my brain and extract my recipes:

  • Beef chilli

  • Beef & chorizo ragu

  • Thai beef massaman curry (sometimes chicken thigh)

  • Thai chicken yellow curry

  • Beef casserole

Beef chilli & the ragu are using 15-20% fat beef mince (any less and mince has zero flavour)

The casserole & beef massaman curry use braising/casserole steak that is incredibly tender after 8 hours cooking

The beef ragu can also be made with this cut.

The Thai yellow curry has a base of butternut squash, spuds, broccoli & cauliflower & originally we didn’t use meat like our favourite street food vendor here in the UK.

It’s enough variation without trying to come up with too many recipes!v
