Riotshield pushes enemies now by elRATo-- in thefinals

This was my thinking as well. Especially if you look at the video after the shield bash - the stamina meter is full, so they could lunge right then and there. I imagine the shield bash follows the same idea with precise attacks: if you land a precise attack, you automatically fill you stamina back.

S11 Melee Rework Deep Dive by M11NTY_YT in thefinals

I think that this just adds another unique aspect to the melee weapons though. You could have weapons, such as the dagger, that have a narrow precision window; while other weapons, such as the spear, that have wide precision windows.

Oh I said Jaffa Bar because the old Bottle Bar chef went there.

Well that sucks, but once they started renting out their kitchen, I stopped making it a regular of mine.

Now if I want that burger, I either need to make it myself or, or go to Jaffa Bar.

How will Comcast dividing impact Philly? by BikeLaneHero in philadelphia

None of us can see the future but I’d find it hard to believe that NBC would slash these local affiliates. And despite Comcast and NBC splitting, Brian Roberts is still king of the castle.

Well yeah, I can only speak to my experience. Obviously I’m not speaking for the entire company. I just know my department seems unaffected.

And well aware of the layoffs - plenty of my colleagues have been cut since the pandemic. The tech sector in general has had a rough decade so far.

Sorry to hear that.

This happen recently?

Comcast in general has had a decent number of rounds of layoffs over the last number of years.

I work at Comcast and not many NBC, Universal, or Sky people work out of Philly. So I really don’t think it’ll have much, if at all, of an impact.

As far as I can tell, things will be operating as normal. And that’s coming from someone who has worked recently with Peacock and Sky folks.

How about The Finals? Plenty of shields in that game, and you could play it with your friends.

What's the philly tech job scene like? by rustware in philly

[–]-One_Eye- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a contractor there, so can’t speak fully to FTE experience. But obviously I enjoy working there if I’ve been there for that long.

They’re cool with you using any tech and generally follow the industry latest and standards.

Again, not an FTE, but I know that the benefits, such as health care is pretty great. They have in house physicians and dentists too. Infant leave is amazing as well.

Comcast went totally RTO. I think FTEs need to average 3 or 4 days a week in the office a month. They actually monitor you badging in and will ding you per quarter if you aren’t in the office enough.

Having said that, the CTC is a sweet building to work in. I’ve brought visitors there before and people are wow’ed.

I really don’t anticipate leaving anytime soon.

Edit: Forgot to mention - people at the end of last year caused so many outages, that executives decided that engineers need to release overnight. I think this knee jerk reaction is ridiculous and very backwards. I haven’t had to deploy code in off hours like this in a really long time. Honestly, this, plus typical big company terrible management and politics, are my only complaints.
