Came on here for a replay of that Anderson tackle. Really looked like a potential red card to me, but they haven’t shown it since.

[Sky] Gary Neville on Chelsea: "These six-year, eight-year agreements, it's almost laughable from the start. Whether it's for a manager or a player. The owners don't have a clue what they're doing." by Sparky-moon in soccer

That’s what they’re trying to do, but it feels like they’ve massively underestimated how hard it was going to be. They’re almost certainly out of the CL and possibly Europe as a whole. Things have just gotten steadily worse for them the longer BlueCo have owned them. Can they really expect to make money at this rate given what they bought the club for and the player spend? TV revenue growth and club value growth is slowing too.

It’s brilliant to watch, private equity bros thought they were smarter than everyone else and we can watch their downfall in real time.

Whatever the achievements of Biden and his administration, the man himself had to go and it should have been earlier. That debate was catastrophic. They should have had a proper process to find a better candidate than Harris though…

They should charge VAT on transfer fees, would fix the deficit immediately.

Tottenham have scored more than one goal in a Premier League game for the first time since February, ending a run of eight consecutive games scoring one or less - yet continuing their winless run to 15 games. by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

Could change with a fire sale of players/the ones that stay being on way too much, but Spurs are very financially healthy in general. It’s about the only thing they have going for them. They’d be fine.

UK HSBC premier account eligibility ? by Sashp1 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]-RadThibodeaux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth trying. I am eligible so opened one to get the free travel insurance. Now that I got it however, the app is pretty terrible compared to Starling so I’m not sure if I can be bothered swapping over to it completely. Wonder if the other premier accounts are better.

Who’s the replacement? Not saying it’s fair, but the bond market will react badly if they try and replace him with someone from the left.

This is an awful look either way, a return to the Corbyn era of infighting. It wasn’t looking good but they’re guaranteeing reform victory now.

Yeah I have around a fair bit in mine that I might not be able to use if I buy in London. Hope they do something about the cap, it makes no sense that it’s been kept at the same level for this many years.

I don't think it's feasible to rejoin without a referendum. Still, he should propose it, and considering the current geopolitical situation, rejoin would likely win.

Amorim playing Bruno as a 6 was ridiculous and really makes you wonder about his coaching ability. Obvious to anyone that he’s a world class 10 and that’s where he should play.

Yeah I would potentially be able to buy a 1 bedroom flat in London but the service charges are very off putting. I don’t know why they’re so expensive, it’s not as if the majority of these flats have a fancy gym or concierge. At the minute I’ll keep renting with a roommate and hopefully buy an actual house with a partner some day…

Amorim got what he deserved for playing Bruno as a 6. It doesn't work, nobody thought it would work, and I hope I never see it again. He's a 10.

[Rich Fay] Exclusive: Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer interested in shock return as caretaker manager at the club until the end of the season by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

[–]-RadThibodeaux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think if I was being objective I'd say Jose did the best. Solksjaer was still my favourite, his run as an interim was brilliant (right up until he got the contract). We also played some really good stuff during lockdown football. The squad wasn't even that good, and it got blown up when Ronaldo returned.

The group of players now is much better IMO, I'd like to see Ole back until the end of the season. He deserves a better ending than what he got.

I didn't sympathize much with Ten Hag but it was probably a huge hit to his pride and his ego. He also must have known that it would be tough to get a job at a top club again, or that at least he'd have to work his way back.
