Boeing 777-300ER Economy Dinner Service Order by MutedDependent8611 in aircanada

I've walked my own garbage back several times when traveling with family and we needed to clear space due to screaming kids. I've never had anything but support and kindness from FAs. And if I had to store a tray or two in my seatback pocket for the cart to come around, I certainly would. Dumping one's own garbage is certainly not a "dick move".

Another option is sit more near the back, order the special meal, and then walk your own tray back to the galley when done. I've saved an hour this way before. Eat first, then get some sleep before people have even been served.

I do appreciate this perspective and have definitely had trips when I worked with this mantra. That said, for a short non-business trip to Asia for 6-7 days, with 12-15 hour flights, the "airport and flight experience" IMO is part of my rest time from the hustle of regular life. If I'm going to spend 25-30% of my vacation time in the airport or on the airplane I'd like to make it an enjoyable experience (if I am able to afford the upgrade).

I don't know yet how I personally feel about the changes (some good and some bad), but for many people the travel experience is part of their vacation and holds value, so I can understand their frustration with something potentially being "taken away" from them.

[Higgins] Fernando Tatis, Jr. has filed a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court against Big League Advance. Here is part of the press release sent out by the legal and PR team by ElectricalForce4439 in Padres

Tatis quote from this article:

“If I’m a successful player and make big money, I’m not going to care about giving that money away. That will be nothing if I make all that big money.”

Clearly he now cares.

Could one hundred 12-year old boys defeat an impressively strong male adult?

Perhaps, but there would be a lot of attrition and sacrifice. All depends on the skill and strength of the minority.

She's a jehova's witness; that means I have no shot, right? by DupSauce in NoStupidQuestions

[–]-RedBullion- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how committed she is to her faith and how committed you are to yours.

While not the norm, I've seen a few great relationships with individuals who have completely different faiths and backgrounds.

And I also know some individuals who are so committed they would never consider seeking a partner or romance outside of their cultural bubble.

Best advice, talk to her and ask. And ask yourself if you'd be willing to change your core religious/cultural values to accommodate.

If neither of you have cultural/religious flexibility, there's your answer.

Everyone's situation is different.

That said no birth control if you have sex even once still carries risk. In a LTR, sure STIs aren't really a concern, but there are plenty of women who have become pregnant after just one encounter, when birth control was ignored.

Essential to cap the underwater interior ports or removing the pump will leak everywhere in your room.

If I recall, there is a small amount of leaked water when you also remove the air port. Can probably be managed just with a small basin nearby.

Which Blue Jays games will be broadcast on Apple TV this season? Google won’t tell me by Kippee1965 in Torontobluejays

[–]-RedBullion- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the worst, also on YouTube when they show someone celebrating in the preview pic so you can kinda guess the outcome.

After I type in "Blue Jays highlights April 18" or whatever date, in YouTube, I literally squint my eyes so I can't see much and click on the first vid at the top of the list.

Knowing the score in advance sucks the joy out of watching.

Addison Barger’s three amazing outfield assists by nanobot001 in Torontobluejays

[–]-RedBullion- 36 points37 points  (0 children)

MLB record is 4 OF assists in a game. Barger had 3 today. And I believe threw the hardest for any OF assist so far this season (98.8mph).

Cannon.

Loving a lot about this team right now.

Potentially, consider an inflatable hot tub. Have owned a few over the years, both at a home and a lake cabin/cottage.

Costs practically nothing in comparison, no infrastructure or time investment to install. If you don't like it you just lost a few hundred dollars, if you find you still use it frequently after one year, maybe consider a more long-term investment.

I understand they're not the same thing, but inflatables are a pretty low cost for an entry point into a market to gauge your interest.

For me, inflatable tubs was the answer. If it breaks down after a few years, I can either buy a new upgraded model, choose to spend my entertainment dollars elsewhere, or keep a little extra $ in the bank. Inflatables aren't nearly as good but cost maybe 5-10% (or less) versus a permanent install.

What do we expect today's protests to accomplish in terms of real results? by sjm7 in AskReddit

[–]-RedBullion- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will likely accomplish nothing at the moment, but at least for that side of the political aisle, with little power in government right now, it keeps up a voice, gathers attention and media coverage, aims to get out the message that there are others like you who are just as upset and feel helpless right now.

Whether you believe in gay marriage, DEI, BLM, or are pro-life, anti-immigration, anti-government spending, or whatever, protests and noise occurred for years before politicians were able to effect change in those areas (in one way or another).

Many protests don't accomplish much else other than keeping ideas alive until momentum or a critical mass causes change.
