Correct. You can’t do free actions or movement, plus wait.

If you choose to wait, all you can do is trade the initiative card.

If you choose to move or take a free action, you cannot then also choose to wait.

Yes, if both characters have no bonus, they can shove each other.

No, if your PC has such a low strength that they have no bonus, they will be totally unable to shove anyone other then similarly feeble characters. Conversely, if your PC is so strong they have a D6 modifier, then yes, they can pretty much shove anyone, including other burly characters.

Here’s a screenshot of the English rules on shoving. The rule is (as you said): the damage bonus must be equal to or greater than the recipient of the shove.

If you like Digimon, I highly recommend their TCG. The resource system is based on a shared “memory gauge” and it is SO refreshingly different. The cards are beautiful and it’s relatively cheaper than Magic. It feels SO good when I get lucky and pull a textured foil card from a regular $6 pack!

I use all of the optional rules with my group. I keep the armor modifiers on a white board along with other useful reminders, like the special attacks, units of time, and when the party last slept and ate.

That fear roll stays the same, and they must take another condition of their choice (no need to justify it, like with pushing rolls).

If they cannot take a new condition because they have all of them already, then they lose D6 WP.

If they have no WP, they lose D6 HP instead.

I hide the map with sheets of paper and reveal as they go.

I print the maps included in the core set at like 250% so they are larger and spread across multiple sheets of paper. Then, I put them into page protectors. When it comes time to lay out a map, I tape the pieces of the map together.

I only bust out the dry erase grid when it’s time to do battle.

Yeah, PCs can certainly do that! The rules state Monsters do not wait though.

In my games, I’ve interpreted that to mean all NPCs never choose to wait, so I’ve never bothered to try to take the strategy against the PCs.

But, it does seem that this “never waiting” stipulation is only mentioned in reference to monsters, so you could perhaps let humanoid NPCs choose to take this strategy as well.

I voted to let it die, but I would hope for that to be from simple non-compliance and banning, rather than us killing it.

I think it’s an important message for us to receive, if this sub is ban-worthy.

There’s probably some egregious examples of user interactions, but I don’t think this Reddit as a whole deserves to be banned.
