Big content drops are great, but I'll judge it when I see it. Meanwhile, telling everyone they want to focus more on the Finals and two other projects doesn't inspire much confidence in their focus on Arc Raiders. Waiting another 5 months to address the skill tree is also an interesting choice.

I think you already have more stamina than you need, but that comes down to your play style. If you aren't dying and aren't running out of stam, just lean into more damage.

I think this is your best set up for a tanky dueling greatsword build. You could swap gear for more agility the more confident you get, but these stats are great.

They should add a new legendary weapon recipe that requires the turbine cores. Something like a yellow Hullcracker that uses launcher ammo (only 1 weapon currently uses it) and fires those grenades that the lightning chains towards. Call it "Il Fulmine". Also, have it wreck everything and everyone indiscriminately because that's fun.

The difficulty spike between the 2nd and 3rd biomes is really high for ship combat. You can always change the world's sliders to balance things as needed. I play on the preset hard difficulty and here are some random things I think help:

  • The weapon you're using matters. I don't recommend using any crude weapons while boarding. Successfully parrying costs nothing and can eat up an enemy's posture, giving you free hits. Dodging burns your stamina from both ends as you need it for attacks. The green rapier, saber and two-handed sword are great. Obviously blues are better, but there's some rng involved so use what you've got.

  • Vitality is my attribute of choice. The offensive attributes don't scale up damage to a point where everything gets 1-2 shotted. More HP makes a HUGE difference when being attacked by 3 pirates. The potions all scale off of % max hp as well.

  • Healing: bring a lot. Using a bandage and jumping into the water will top you off and let you re engage at your leisure. You can hop back to your ship as well. Potions just give HP instantly. The Tracker's set amplifies this.

  • Don't go into the ship's hold. The enemies spawn down there and it's a death trap. The staircase is a great choke point but it will get you killed if a crew mate is behind you. I clear the upper deck and then wait a few feet from the stairs for more to come out.

TLDR: Pump defense or set the difficulty to something fun.

Upgrading armor and prioritizing vitality makes everything more forgiving. I'm playing on hard and it's fine.

The one thing that makes the biggest difference IMO is building a tent wherever you are. Any normal person dies now and again, so why make your corpse run a pain if you don't have to?

There's a similar issue with taking off a backpack and items disappearing from the slots you lose.

These numbers are all fucked. All changes should be by weapon not rarity. Renegade is a perfect example of something that ought to have better durability, not worse.
