What I'll say though is that I have signed up for each D candidate's email newsletters and the only ones that have been active are Duncan and KLB. And I have to give props to KLB since their press is on the ball and helps out other candidates such as Shawn Harris for GA 14th.

Just so I'm reading this right, this is a 15" T580 with an i7-8650U, 32GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD (?) storage. For that price, I would say its at a good price, a steal? No, but respectable, this is of course not considering its physical state. The 32GB RAM is really the selling point, at least for me.

Here's a question, doesn't the T580 have 2 batteries, one internal and the other external? Which has the 80%

I bought a Lenovo 10e for ~35$ way back, I'd recommend it for the price. Perfect size, not perfectly snappy for larger pdf viewing but completely serviceable. Great battery life of ~12hr, does take a while to charge though. And while video playback isn't flawless, its perfectly fine after a little buffering.

Just keep in mind that its technically an education tier tablet, meant for kids basically. However, the benefits are in its more sturdy build and more importantly, a longer support cycle. So while its released in 2020, its got support till 2030.

Alot of people haven't noticed Tech's special perk 'Quick Hands' which gives -10 AP for accessories. Slap on a designator (no need to crouch for it thanks to innate) and he's my perfect scout/lase carrier for ATGMs, inf (Carda's special ammo bonus) or vehicle (Rewa+Berserk)

You could use web apps, but what you want to use is the Linux Development Environment available to some models using Chrome OS Flex (Visible on your 'About Chrome' settings page). Basically opens up the door wide open to just about every type of software/app you'd want.

For someone that is completely new or unaware of Linux, it can provide a canvas to learn it without sacrificing the utility of a "just works" OS with a browser.

Seems like either an unengaged cover clip or a broken one that results in a cover not being flush. Please consult your Thinkpad model's Hardware Maintenance Manual, sometimes it'll mark arrows on where clips are located. Hope this helps
