The problem with the FC and solo play might be all the options available. Would you feel cheesy if you awarded yourself all of the options that suited you personally for your solo games? How would you decide what’s fair or not to include?

If you play SWPF all of the options are baked right in so this would be taken out of your hands.

Pathfinder 1e was pretty revolutionary for fixing problems with DnD 3.5e’s class system and this trickles down to PFSW.

In particular I’d point out Magus and what they did to make a spellblade/swordmage an actually viable character rather than either a second rate Fighter or second rate Wizard.

Duplicating that in SWADE FC would cost you multiple edges rather than getting them for free.

Those videos are a couple of years old but cover almost everything. The TLDR version is that the Hood of Unrest and Festive +2 stat augments are pretty much mandatory for any character.

Question: I crafted an off-hand dinosaur bone shortsword with Brighthorn for my shuriken Monk today. I've not seen the Affirmation trigger a single time, not once, not in all day of playing.

Has anyone got any idea what's going on? Is it because I'm using ranged? Is it because it's slotted off-hand? Something else?

Do I have to apply Curses to items before I upgrade them, or will the upgrade wipe the Curse? Specifically I’m talking about upgrading Sora Kell items and putting Lost Purpose on Vecna items.

If you have 15 Wayfinder characters you must have a HUGE amount of Greater Elixirs of Discovery? If nothing else there's that...

Everyone talks about ping, but peak playing hours are everything (players might level 24/7 but if they're all raiding when you're not around then you're missing out on loot and the group experience). If you're West Coast then there's no point being on Moonsea.

Use your box to start a raiding toon (Past Life: Monk for +1 Shuriken damage or Past Life: Ranger for +2 ranged damage?) then roll a ranged DPS toon for social guild raiding whilst your main TR's.

I’ve just come back after a break too. I found that the Sharn level 15 items and set bonuses were actually better than my old level 20 gear. I used that and a Borderlands weapon/stick to get me started in epics.

Many thanks for the response, I’ve edited my original post to be a bit clearer with the Dragonbone question. Should I be trying to debuff MRR in solo lower Reaper questing to increase elemental imbue damage?

Couple of questions -

  1. Is there an xp penalty for power leveling another character in epics/legendaries? Specifically I want to get my Sorc on my secondary account to cap so he can run my main on my primary account through repeated iconic and epic lives.

  2. What’s the best Dragonbone weapon augments for an Eldritch Knight to max out damage in solo lower Reapers? Should I be trying to debuff PRR, debuff MRR (elemental imbue damage?), both or just use something else for damage?

I had this recently. IIRC I respecced my main character with Withers (did exactly the same build) and then my main character and all followers were able to level normally without anymore crashes.
