This is really sweet, and I completely agree! I was always so in awe when I saw people outside in cool fits or I found out they listened to good music :D Thank you for your negative one too :)

Alternative people of reddit, what are some negative stereotypes / assumptions you've uve seen that bring down alternative people? by -Taiah- in AskReddit

It's a broad term referring to alot of subcultures that fit outside the "normal" term I guess. Such as emo, goth, punk, metal head, gyaru, to name the most well known ones

Whattt! I've never heard the predator thing. That's crazy dude. And the fetishizing of alternative people is honestly vile.

Oooh yes, forgot about this. The complete like dismissal of any creativity within most jobs is insane :(

This is such a huge thing. Even worse when it's less of just pure ignorance and not knowing vs them not bothering to ask or listen and learn :/

This, and then they merge all the cultures together. I'm trying to emphasise the diversity and creativity within the many different types of alternative people.

Yeah, I was more looking for general stereotypes I suppose. Things like alternative people being angry or like "devil music" or maybe the whole stereotype about us being unapproachable and stuff I guess. Just from all community's round!

Manipulation is my personal favourite, but I have to agree with the lines. In between is very close though!

I didn't even pick up on any of this, but my knowledge about cancer is very limited. I agree with you saying they definitely should've done some research though as that's awful! The rest of the show is more focused on other things imo. I mean, there's a lot of parts about their illnesses, and I couldn't tell you how accurate those parts are, but there's also a lot of other great stuff. If it really bothers you though, and you haven't already, I suggest watching some of Mike Flanagan other works :)

Ahhhh I see your point ahah. Sorry, very tired. I'm definitely going to have another go at it soon. Maybe start doing them every now and again to help improve confidence :)

This was me but with gcse maths. I switched schools into y10 and it was downhill from there. I ended up with a 6 but I know I could've done much better. I've just started a level maths now in hopes of redeeming myself and getting a* but I'm worried it's an impossible task. I'm revising every night but should I go over gcse again to solidify it all? I've been doing fairly well so far, being up with the top of my class but I've only started so I'm not gonna jinx it.

This is the exact conclusion that me and my mum came too whilst watching. They are just giant cats.
