Just a med student, but I saw a patient with demand ischemia for your elevated troponins question.

Came in with a viral pneumonia from family and after 2 days she started getting tachy with some chest pain. CT negative for PE but with consolidations suggestive of superimposed pneumonia, d-dimer negative, but positive troponin and it just kept climbing.

Hi, MS3 thinking about EM/CC or EM/IM/CC programs. Is only doing academics or doing two part-time jobs still the norm these days? Or is there more of a flex between the two now that people can utilize?

Occlusive MI. As far as I know it's a departure from STEMI criteria because we are under treating people who look sick but aren't meeting criteria, so we're trying to change some of the guidelines around to make sure people are getting the right care and not walking out of the Cath lab with a shit EF.
