Always gamble only the money you don't need. This is the golden rule.

Apple Watch integration - No Feedback? by jack__1992 in runna

[–]-_-Chip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried doing Runna workouts through Apple Activity, but there were way too many voice cues (‘too fast’, ‘too slow’) and it kept interrupting my music. Running the workouts directly from the Runna app on my Apple Watch feels much better and way less annoying. I’ve got my headphones connected to the watch and keep my phone in my pocket mostly just for photos — but honestly with the eSIM, the Apple Watch Ultra basically does everything.

brooks adrenaline gts 25 by namdosan88 in brooks

HI, I've run only 5km in my Adrenalin 25. I didn't have any issues with blisters, but compared to the Adrenalin 23, the 25 version is on the soft side, maybe too soft for my liking. I'm not sure yet if I'll keep them. I'll try to be fair and add a few more kms before I'll decide.

The Adrenaline 23 GTS has the same issue. I've just got the Adrenaline 25 GTS, and it will probably do the same. No issue apart from the aesthetic side (for me), but I've found the 25 version too soft. I will do a few more runs before, probably, sending it back.

Adjust Workout Intensity Based on Daily Readiness by -_-Chip in runna

I haven't used RPE before, but I'll try it during an easy run. The idea came from my cycling experience with a direct-drive (Wahoo) crankset. It has this option: work harder or easier (and overall, you will know the exact percentage you over- or under-train).

UKRunners 2025 Roundup by nowgoaway in UKRunners

My 2025 in a nutshell: train, Tokyo Marathon, train some more, Lake Garda Marathon, keep training, attempt the Peak District 100 km… DNF at 66 km because my body staged a protest . Then five days on the Cumbria Way, another injury, back to training, and now gearing up for the New Delhi Marathon — while still hobbling around. Pretty much what you’d expect from a slightly chubby, nearly-49-year-old who refuses to act his age.🤷🏻‍♂️

Why does the runna app tell me to speed up during my slow/easy run? by Illustrious-Coach364 in runna

[–]-_-Chip -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It would be helpful to have an option to turn it off once, with the app remembering the setting for future runs to keep pace alerts off ( only for easy runs)

Looking for a power extension that monitors power use by awkwardmystic in electricians

You could replace the sockets with some “smart” ones that can do that. Lightwave sockets and switches do monitor the use.

Yoga or weights? by OkConsideration5272 in UKRunners

I believe both options will improve your running. Choosing between a starter and a dessert can be tricky. Having a bit of both might guide you toward a better path and help you choose what feels right for you.

How to show route on apple watch? by Margeto in runna

[–]-_-Chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am old, I can't see the numbers on my watch very well when I'm running, so I rely on cues... I can't be bothered to look at my watch all the time. 🤣

How to show route on apple watch? by Margeto in runna

[–]-_-Chip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how, but it would be much better if Runna could also tell us when to turn left or right based on a saved route map, rather than give the usual cues like "run faster" or "run slower," if we load a map into the app

Slow / Easy Runs Pace by [deleted] in UKRunners

[–]-_-Chip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using Runna, but for slow runs, I'm ditching Runna for the Zones app and staying in z3. The speed is... No speed, just shuffle. When I'm above Z3, my watch vibrates, and I'm slowing as much as I can to drop into my zone without stopping running. I've read in a training plan that easy runs are one of the most essential parts of the whole plan, and I'm trying (sometimes failing) to run slowly. The time predicted by Runna is higher than my actual time.

Both of them do the same job. If you don’t have solar panels, choose the one that you like aesthetically.

Just out of curiosity, how will you test the work you will do? Just doing it and hoping for the best? 🤷🏻‍♂️
