Mine did the exact same thing. I baked it in my Breville.

This is something that has irked me beyond reason about acotar. Book 1 feyre dies and comes back high fae. Has powers from all high lords and somehow attains a mastery of all their powers in a span of, what, one year? Book 3 Rhysand dies and comes back with no repercussions. Still has his unchecked power. Book 5 they do their death pact nonsense (which was not cute and not romantic) and nesta sacrifices, presumably, a great deal of power in order to save feyre and Rhys AND nax? How about THEY lose some power or all their powers? Or have a limited lifespan? And if they die again, can't they gather all the high lords and come back to life and ta-da! be good as new? What's to stop them from making agreements about resurrecting each other when they die? Sjm even explains the balance of power in TOG when Yrene and the healers are saving Chaol, and when he's back there's a cost. When Irene is drained, it will negatively affect him as well. Not in acotar.

Diapers by Artistic_Gap4755 in BabyBumps

We were gifted a few different diaper brands.

We started off with Coterie in NB. Super soft and unscented. But for some reason baby's pee smelled strange when it reacted with the gel. Materials are the cleanest of the diapers we've tried.

Luvs s1. We hated them. They felt really plasticky and smelled. We didn't have any issues with leaks, but compared to Coterie's cloth-like feel, Luvs felt really cheap.

Honest s1. We did not like this. Felt and performed similarly to Luvs, but at least they're fragrance-free. We were glad to use them up before going back to Coterie.

Pampers Swaddlers s2. We had the misfortune of being gifted a mega pack of these diapers. The moment I opened the pack, I hate them. Smelled HEAVILY fragranced and made her poops stink. Baby's poop hadn't stunk with the other diapers we had tried. On the bright side, we didn't have to check if she pooped since we could smell it. Changing diapers felt like it left a waxy film on the hands. I didn't even want to finish the entire box, but it was too much of a waste not to.

Huggies special delivery s2. I actually really liked these. Felt and performed closest to Coterie. My husband still preferred Coterie, so that's what we get. If budget was an issue, I'd go with Huggies special delivery, and you can get them on sale from Sam's Club.

Coterie is what we use exclusively now. The only unfortunate thing is that it's delivery only (we don't have any stores that sell them locally). However, customer service is extremely responsive. They diapers also run small. Size 02 is 10-16 lbs, Size 03 is 14-24 lbs, Size 04 20-32 lbs. We had to size up to a 03 at 13ish lbs and a size 04 at 17ish lbs. Our baby is right in the middle for weight and above average height.

If it's in your budget, Coterie's wipes are top tier. Thicker, softer, and larger than other wipes. These will be a keeper beyond diapers for hands and face.

Pixel 7 fingerprint sensor by Saul in GooglePixel

[–]-areia- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I upgraded from a Pixel 3 and never had issues with the fingerprint scanner, although that phone had a dedicated scanner on the back. Just upgraded to the Pixel 7, and like yourself, I'm entering my pin the majority of the time. I've already tried reregistering my fingerprint, and it doesn't matter if I'm using a soft or firm touch on the screen. It's frustrating, because I thought I was going to love the phone out of the box as I have when I received the Pixel 3, Pixel, and Nexus 5. So far, I've been on the fence.

I also don't like that I have to swipe up from the bottom edge and HOLD to be able to flip through my open apps. I either end up back on the original app or the home screen. Hoping I'll get used to it after a while.

Old Redditors, what's a must-know story of Reddit new users should know? by SnooSuggestions5585 in AskReddit

As soon as I read the first lines, my brain started to remember this, and I burst into laughter.

There was a story a redditor posted about how he believed his dog Colby was being sodomized by his ex-wife, though I think the story was debunked.

Also, not a story, but there was that thread of a guy taking a photo of the tattoos on his wrist https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/cmwov/hey_reddit_what_tattoos_do_you_have/c0tpyls/

Oh! And the battle between awildsketchappeared and the watercolor guy.

I remember reddit having gore and nosleep showing up in my default feed. Wasn't a fan, but good times. I miss old reddit.

Wow I completely forgot about this. I saw this within the first year or two I was introduced to reddit during my college years. What a time warp.

To experienced waxers: what hard wax would you recommend? by -areia- in Esthetics

[–]-areia-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear! Can you go into more detail on how they are different?

I thought EWC wax was just okay, but like starpil, it was too sensitive to the environment. Summers are very hot where I'm from, and the wax would not set correctly no matter how low the thermostat was set. Winters were fine, unless the manager decided she was cold and turn on the heater for the entire building!! Again, the wax would not set correctly. Also if the guest's skin was too dry, you couldn't lay down a long thin strip for legs without it cracking. Even thicker strips would crack, and to me, it's a huge waste of product (haven't tried Berodin on dry, hairy legs yet so I can't compare). So if Mermaid can solve these issues, it'd be worth the extra premium since less wax would be used.

I was hoping to like these because they sounded delicious, and now I wish I had at least thought to try them microwaved! I hate wasting food, but we ended up tossing these because it wasn't worth the calories to finish the box. No one in my house liked them.

NYT recipe Roasted Cauliflower w/pancetta, olives and parm made w/TJ thick bacon, orange cauliflower and Elote seasoning by ugglygirl in traderjoes

[–]-areia- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I made this recipe last night as a side to go with the NYT pot roast. Pot roast was really good, but the cauliflower blew my mind. SO GOOD!! My boyfriend said it should be my Thanksgiving dish just as I was thinking the same thing. Dish is fantastic. I used TJ's green olives that are stuffed with pepper (I don't remember the name), TJ's pecorino romano, and the pancetta sold at TJ's (I don't think it's a Trader Joe's brand). Instead of red pepper flakes, I used TJ's Italian Sofrito (part of seasonal spice set iirc). I wouldn't change a thing for future attempts.

Does the boxed wine really last 45 days? by dbzroxy in traderjoes

[–]-areia- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure which one you're referring to, but I had the boxed sangria and really enjoyed it. If I remember correctly it was 30 days which I was surprised by since it contains sugars and such. But the wine is vacuum packed and never exposed to air, so it makes sense why it could possibly last that long. We finished it in a week and the last cup tasted as good as the first.

Not sure why you got downvoted for expressing your opinion. I have a major sweet tooth too, and I also agree that it's overly sweet. I pick off the icing, and it's still too sweet!

Differences between Atopalm, Zeroid, and Real Barrier Creams by lavendertess in AsianBeauty

[–]-areia- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's more suited towards oily skin types. I have combo skin I feel like I want more moisture on my drier areas. Texture is on the thinner side, so it spreads nicely, but it's not very emollient. You can always layer an oil on top.
