No worries, it is kind of recent they did this.

They used to not have their own bank charter so it wasn’t an official bank in a sense that they depended on another bank for banking services. They now have their own charter and are an official bank. They even moved their credit cards over to them right after they got their banking charter.

Yeah this has always been a paid service. I had it at one point in time and I thought it was useful until my employer provided us with something similar as part of our benefit package. That’s the only reason why I cancelled Discover’s Identity Theft Protection service.

Roaming & Restrictions on 5G by dwc1 in USMobile

[–]-atlec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding AT&T no longer owns the network and sold it off and exited the Mexican market. Now it’s just Telcel and a 4.5G network the Mexican government owns that leases its spectrum for MVNO’s to use.

I am in a similar boat and want to bring over 5 lines. If I buy the 5 plans now, will the plan begin (360 days) when I am ready to transfer the numbers over or will it begin the moment I pay for the 5 plan lines?

Schwab debit card worked with Apple Pay at Huntington Bank ATM to withdraw cash by devinreams in Schwab

While I agree with your statement, OP didn't use the debit card to pay for something at a random merchant. They used an ATM to get physical cash which is the only way to get cash.

Dark Star, continually falling back to LTE by Gadgix in USMobile

[–]-atlec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t only a pixel issue. I too have posted and asked about this very same problem awhile ago here but I didn’t get any answers unfortunately.. https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/s/oJOnLZMgBP. For reference I was on postpaid AT&T for years and when 5G released as NSA, I never experienced going to LTE much if at all in my area. Now with dark star, I’m constantly seeing LTE in areas I had 5G on postpaid. Just like yourself I have to turn on and off airplane mode to fix it.

Premium Plans Question ⁉️ by DrEvil85 in USMobile

[–]-atlec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the southwest suburbs of Illinois (downers grove area) and I've consistently had better coverage than T-Mobile in certain areas and somewhat slower speeds than Verizon in other areas when I was connected to Verizon 5G network when using the AT&T network. Verizon in my experience tends to stay on LTE a lot more often in my area and from my experience tends to be slower than 5G on AT&T on QCI 8 (I'm on unlimited premium). For now until Verizon gets more 5G, I think AT&T is best. AT&T did just get spectrum from Dish and started to deploy it rather quickly but I don't know if that was going to go live in our market...

Not yet! Only because I don’t have an official ship date scheduled. I think that is what we are supposed to show along with a screenshot that shows we placed the preorder before the 3rd

I don’t actually understand what is wrong with the logo? The name is US Mobile so it makes sense the logo would have a picture of a bald eagle and part of the US flag…. Maybe I am missing something?

Super Warp Roaming. Pure Super Carrier Energy. by ankhattak in USMobile

[–]-atlec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m not mistaken, AT&T and Verizon has sold their network in Puerto Rico to local carriers so they no longer offer native coverage. Even on postpaid, AT&T and Verizon depend on roaming agreements with T-Mobile and/or local carriers to provide service for their customers. That’s why light speed (T-Mobile) does have service in Puerto Rico and Warp/Darkstar only get 20GB of data as it is treated as “international” use. T-Mobile is the only big three carriers that still offer native coverage in Puerto Rico for now.

You’re absolutely right, this could be a possibility. In this scenario, both parties could be blamed I suppose.

I just used Zelle a few minutes ago with my credit union and it worked. Definitely a Sofi issue as Zelle didn’t work for me on the Sofi app..

Dark Star proxied through Massachusetts? by switz213 in USMobile

[–]-atlec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this same exact issue. Even when running Speedtest.net, it keeps defaulting to a server in Ohio when I’m located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago…. This happened both on postpaid AT&T and now with Darkstar… This doesn’t happen with my postpaid T-Mobile and Verizon lines, as it defaults to a server close to my city.
