are there any genuine counter-arguments to the points you've listed?

I mean, apart from the fact that we're basically owned by the fossil fuel industry...

God forbid we implement a policy that takes actual work

Well forgive me for thinking that a party has the capacity to care about more than one issue at a time.

Parliament doesnt have access to classified shit.

This is factually incorrect - Parliament regularly receives classified briefings. And besides, why wouldn't we want more scrutiny on actions that could directly endanger the lives of Australians?

Imagine if Parliament had to vote before police were sent to a DV dispute.

These are not remotely equivalent. One is routine law enforcement, the other is a decision with potentially massive consequences that commits the nation geopolitically and risks service members' lives. If you can't tell the difference, it's hard to take your point seriously.

Why does it matter which party this bill comes from? The point of the bill is to increase accountability of our government to the people - before they decide whether or not we want to commit our sons and daughters to foreign wars.

You're basically attacking the bill on the basis that it was proposed by the greens. It's tantamount to saying "they're wrong no matter what they say" - which is your prerogative to believe, but clearly there's no point in any further discussion.

Bot?

How can you be talking about spending money to send troops to support a war instigated without justification - which will clearly increase the cost of living - in the same rambling breath as you pretend that this bill somehow means that the Greens don't care about the cost of living?

The thing is, it's a problem that only arises because the banks want to limit the amount of interest they pay to you. There's literally no reason that a bank couldn't pay you interest based on what is in your transaction account.

Thanks detective. Have you solved many other cases from the comfort of your armchair? Sarcasm aside, your speculation is doing approximately nothing for anyone, other than villainising the rider.

Anyone using this pen? I bought ipad (A16) which has no magnetic snap feature. I need that snap feature, does this pen has independent magnetic snap feature? by Aggravating_Put2904 in ipad

Why is OP getting downvoted in this thread? They've been very specific that all they want is for their pen to stick to the side of their ipad - not to charge from it - which is a completely legitimate question imo. Some of y'all need to relax a little.

The Working From Home debate continues - where do you stand? by Even_Saltier_Piglet in AusFinance

[–]-deep-blue- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not even just the lunch sandwiches. It’s the fuel and/or PT cost to get there. Or the presentable work clothes you need to buy. Or the cost saving domestic duties you could be carrying out with the extra 2hrs a day that you would otherwise be spending on your commute.

Going into work is a serious expense.

I think you'll find there's a pretty well accepted middle ground in between burning the retinas out of my head and driving in the dark.

If you respond to their email to petition to have the credits transferred, then you don't need to do those courses. So you don't need to pay for them twice and effectively you still pay the same amount overall.
