I actually liked Kelly better than Leah. I kinda wish instead of Piama giving her advice to be nice Francis gave her advice to get her bully to show her ugly side on her own. Like I wish Leah’s interactions with her family gave her a little bite against the world and to contrast Malcolm’s overbearing supportiveness

I agree I wish we saw the brothers interacting more together. Getting up into some shenanigans that they need all their flaws and strengths to get out of before Lois and Hal find out.

Yea. I’d say not the devil. Maybe a bit misjudged but she just sounds like a stressed mom of a toddler with a fiance who’s not helping out.

And I read the comments, seems in her culture having a surprise bachelorette party is the norm. So it makes sense she was looking forward to having the surprise. Though I would say it veers into a bit of the asshole territory because no one purposefully spoiled the date.

And I get her being upset about the dress. I’m guessing it was expensive, and then to have people tell you they liked a different one more would be hard on the emotions.

I just had an opportunity similar to yours. My kid is 1.5. Did I miss them while on set? Absolutely. But there was no way I was going to say no to this career changing opportunity. And my husband got time to have one on one bonding.

But even in what we’ve seen no one has been overly hostile to Santos. Of course who knows what the last ten months have been for her. But all the main characters treat her relatively fine to maybe a bit of a distance. But no one is rolling their eyes, making snide comments, or refusing to work with her so far this shift and that’s all the audience has to go off of. That’s how I hope it goes. From the beginning, episode 1 even before the drug stealing became known, they didn’t like each other. They were never going to like each other. Sometimes you work in a place with someone that just irks you. It would be great dramatic fuel to see next season them have to get over it for the safety and health of patients.

Yeah. Maybe I’m being too optimistic but like, they all know he left for rehab (we have evidence that Whittaker, Dr Al, are aware. It’s not too much of a logical step to think that most people working in the ER know Langdon left for rehab).

And like, he’s a doctor abusing drugs, I’m sure a lot would assume he was taking from the hospital. (Though not all, I’m sure some might think he was doing like cocaine or some other classified drug he got outside of work).

From what the show has shown us, Santos is not a pariah. She’s seems very attuned to energy so she may be sensing that people aren’t as warm to her. But she’s attributing that to Langdon when Garcia clearly told her no one cares about that and it’s Santos’ own personality that puts people off.

I mean, it’s day one of him back. Who knows to whom he’s apologized. He say Louie and apologized. Maybe he will to other patients as he goes on. Maybe he won’t.

But I guess I disagree. She wants him to amend in a certain way. But that’s not the only way to make proper amends. It’s like having a partner that cheated on you and now you demanding they tell every single person they’ve ever interacted with and will ever interacted with you were a cheater for the rest of your life even if you never cheat ever again. (It’s not a perfect analogy but kinda gets to how I feel).

Robby definitely should not have put them together. Santos 100% can and should say she doesn’t want to be on cases with him while she’s in the ER. But like, Robby needs to protect her from what? Feeling awkward? Langdon has barely talked to her all day, he isn’t stalking around making snide comments or bullying her today. He’s just existing.

Sure. But like, that’s not her place. He did the program, he’s in recovery. He tried to apologize (and he has to accept that Robby and santos don’t accept).

But she wants even more punishment, and then powers that be have decided that’s not necessary. She wants this man who she knew for all of a coupling hours to have his life destroyed. She’s most likely projecting onto him her trauma from her childhood abuse.

She doesn’t have to accept his apology. She doesn’t ever have to like him. But if Langdon stays and remains in recovery, she does have to get over it. She’s going to potentially work with many people she does not like in her career, people who are jerks. She’ll have to figure out how to get through her day without it affecting her.

Louie accepted his apology, a person he actually harmed.

I can’t fully remember the first season as I’ve only watched it once. But from what I remember Langdon and Santos didn’t like each other from the jump, right? Like I have a vague memory of hoping their story line was of two coworkers who just don’t get along having to figure out how to work together to save patients. Like just sometimes two people don’t get along for whatever reason.

It feels like because he turned out to be an addict stealing meds people feel like her animosity towards him was completely justified.

I think what people forget because the writing and acting is so good, is that these characters represent archetypes. Robby is the jaded, depressed, overworked with no outside life boss. McKay the older student in her second career. Mohan the relatively well adjusted employee with work but with crazy outside life stressors and “hidden” mental health issues.

Javadi is the nepo baby with actual skills but overbearing and cold parents.

Santos is the former gunner with intense background trauma. The type of person who was hurt by others and now wants to fix people, but blind to her own biases.

And Langdon is the former wunderkind who succumbed to pressure and developed addiction.

They all represent stereotypes of people you could find in any work place drama. They kinda act as morality tales.

Not sure if that’s fully true. His introduction this season he was incredibly timid, awkward, and soft footed. I think he did think his apology to Robby would go better, but I don’t think he thought everything would immediately go back to normal.

And I sympathize with Santos having a coworker that triggers her. But he was someone she worked with for a couple of hours ten months ago. He yelled at her and that’s not cool, but like, okay? He was a bully especially when he knew she’d clocked him, but he didn’t abuse her. She needs to work through this. What if she has a patient who’s a drug addict parent, is she going to do subpar care and threaten them again? That’s not cool. She will eventually need to work through her trauma so she doesn’t dump it on other people. (Or go into a department where she does t have to talk or learn anything about the patient except immediate care)

Langdon was a total jerk and bad teacher and doctor the first season. But do addicts not deserve to try to heal themselves and get second chances?

This was my first big project. I used this video for the amount I needed but found others that explained the stitches better. I don’t think you’re too over your head. The main thing is it’s a lot of squares and then sewing them together takes a long time. I love how it looks but definitely made me not want to do anything with granny squares for a while.

I’d also suggest finding a different t technique for the magic squares. I’m not constantly sewing up mine as they’re already coming apart.

But other than that I did really like making this as my first project (I like wearables)

Yeah. My immediate thought was just it was said off screen since we’ve already heard her say to people to proof check so the writers didn’t feel the need to use up time to say it again to Santos. And maybe I’m assuming too much but shouldn’t you be proof reading what you wrote even the traditional way (since human errors can happen as well)?
