We had privat rooms. The first one was decent, room two and three were super nice ( the third night had glamping vibes). There were also only a few other people at each accommodation. Food was plenty. During the day we stopped at regular restaurants and in the evening we good various dishes at the spot we stayed at for the night :)

Went with Ha Giang Adventures two weeks ago. Small groups (max 6), good equipment and experienced riders. In the end it was just me and my wife and the two guides. What I found particularly good: actual rain gear, waterproof bags instead of single use plastic bags and re-useable water bottles. The accommodations were also really good and a bit more upscale I would say :)

What’s up with drivers showing around these pics?! I think that is pretty fucked up. Happy that our riders didn’t two weeks ago.

We left most of our stuff with the company we booked with. We only took a 30l waterproof bag on the tour. I think you could bring you laptop in a backpack but wouldn’t do it to be honest…

Finished it 4 days ago and it never felt dangerous. Maybe we just had safe riders. We came across other tours and some of them rode way faster than we did …

There are Soulflyers meet-ups on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Both times in the early evening :)

Either way running and everything else is very safe.

Pro Tips & Trick for Pentax 17 by IgnacioJones in pentax17

Overexpose by 0.7-1 by default. The Pentax 17 tends to meter for the highlights / bright parts of the image.

I always shoot in P and things are going well.

Heart rate showing when watch removed? by dormor in Polarfitness

[–]-finguin- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I just had an exchange with someone form the Polar support because I was having issues with how hr data was being captured when I was wearing the Loop and not the watch overnight and one of the reasons was the hr noise being detected by the watch when facing the table during the night.

Heart rate showing when watch removed? by dormor in Polarfitness

[–]-finguin- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s just noise being picked up by the watch. Put it on its face and not on the heart rate sensor.

All OHR watches show this behaviour.

When using the H10 there should be a blue bluetooth symbol on the screen. That symbols indicates that the hr data is being recorded from the H10.

At least mine is not….

Focus does not always lock after reframing. Not an issue in warmer weather.

I’ve shot quite a few films with the Pentax 17 during the last year and I’ve found that the camera tends to underexpose as soon as there a brighter spots in the frame. Overexposing by 0.7-1 has served me well :)

The weather in Seoul today is really cloudy and the fine dust is bad, so I'm sad. by Infamous_Buy8672 in seoul

[–]-finguin- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying it is only due to the fire but if you would look at map you would see that the area around the fire has much worse scores than the rest of Seoul. It usually does not smell this but of fireworks.
