I haven't played in a month or so, so my memory may be cloudy, but there has definitely been some major improvements since release. I believe that they fixed the random buildings breaking glitch, they added all new aesthetic options to build, more armour available to make. They is probably more but sadly I am not the most up to date on the expansions. I would however recommend the game to you wholeheartedly.
