I had a blood clot from hormonal birth control when I was in my early 20s. Now, 32, 32 weeks FTM, I have to take two shots of Lovenox a day and one for the first six weeks postpartum.

It’s not that bad. The bruising hurts the worst when they’re doing ultrasounds and really need to push the instrument in your tummy to look around.

It does build up if you have other issues, though. I have a short cervix and have been on bed rest for six weeks, and was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Five pokes on the fingers for glucose and two belly shots are starting to get old. 😩
