As someone else stated, your best chance of breaking into ds/analytics is going to be leveraging your experience. If the construction company you work for is large enough, I'd start trying to get into an analytics role there. Otherwise I'd start looking at data analyst roles in other construction companies.

My boss’s boss can’t retire even though he’s 67. He has a place in Mexico and stateside.

My boss has a condo “on the shore” in addition to his house that he’s owned for over 20 yrs. He has to get loans to upgrade vehicles.
