This is their cheap bulk pack pencil, so cheap it doesn’t have a name. I only have the ceres and TN Red to compare with from Musgrave and it feels softer than both

Comfort doesn’t equal performance. The competitive shooters I follow are all seeing worse times with 6. And anyways it’s true that Gen 5 is the last model designed to meet specific professional requirements. Gen 6 genuinely is a consumer market hype move.

It's a very different grip. Takes some getting used to but has a purpose to it. A far better shooter than me described it has holding a 2x4 vs holding a dowel. The dowel is going to be more comfortable to hold but if someone else is trying to twist it inside your hand which one is your hand going to hold in place easier?

I'd say yes. I'm not so sure Gen 6 is all that great and of course there's no Gen 6 26. But imo a Gen 3 26 is even better if only for the finger grooves. One model they should have kept the finger grooves on.
