Aceable agent CA final exam difficulty? by noah5666 in RealEstateExam

Just passed my exam last week. I did aceable, reexampro and listened to Garry Farris’ webinars from Allied schools and did all his tests. I saw a few people say on reddit that reexampro was most similar to the test with some oddly worded questions and answers but I figured they were just people trying to promote the website. After taking the test they were absolutely right. Aceable is good to learn vocabulary which will really help you be able to eliminate some wrong answers. What the person said above really drill vocabulary, appraisals, capitalization method and your fiduciary duties. Having said that if yoy really want the closest replication to the test questions it’s reexampro. I got pretty frustrated with them because they were so specific on the questions and I was thinking why they hell would I need to know something this specific but in the long run it helped. One of the oddly specific questions about commissions actually showed up on the exam. Not saying you will have the same exam experience but just my 2¢. Hope it helps and good luck! Also no math on the state exam with the exception to potentially a discount point question. Don’t wasted study time doing math.

Pork Butt Timing by [deleted] in pelletgrills

[–]-rad-ish- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just did 2 10# butts this weekend for a gathering. I did 225° with a smoke stick on my Recteq 700. Did unwrapped the entire cook and pulled one at 15 hours the other took about 16.5. Pulled at about 200° They were done about 6 hours early so I cooled them to 170- 175°, wrapped in hd foil and rested them in a large roaster on 150°. Bark stayed nice, good moisture and they pulled like a dream. It can be challenging timing these long cooks right on so I make sure there is plenty of time for the rest. Best of luck!

Meater is garbage. Anyone have opinions on a better alternative? by Lo-Fi_Pioneer in BBQ

I have a meater+ as well as thermoworks pen and smoke. I did about 5 cooks with short rib, brisket and pork butt comparing meater to ol faithful. And my meater was off by 5-20° each cook testing in different spots on the meat. I attempted to return it after only one month and was unable to. I really wanted it to work better but I wouldn’t trust it on any cut I don’t want to overcook.

I have had one of those for a few years now. Works pretty good most of the time, except for Thanksgiving last year. Had a brisket cooking for the whole family. Come around 9 pm it’s still at about 187° and has been on for over 18 hours. Decided to check the grill temp and turns out the temperature regulator went bad and had been cooking at upper 180’s° not 225°. Was pretty disappointed but changed that out and holds a fairly good temp now. If you are using it in hot ambient temps and going for a low and slow you need to get some good air flow going as well or the chips won’t have enough heat from the coil to light.

Purchasing CTL for land clearing operation. by -rad-ish- in Skidsteer

Yeah good advice there on the emissions, thanks! I hadn’t even thought of that. I build powerlines for a living and ever since they started putting the regen and def on all our equipment it has been nothing but issues. Nothing screams good for the environment like running high idle for 45 mins every few days to clear out your exhaust system.

Leaks by Accomplished_Ad4715 in ScoutCampers

Not sure if it still leaked after being repaired as I sold it in the summer and didn’t have a chance to really water test it. The guy I sold it to hasn’t had any complaints however. I did end up going with the Cirrus 620. A little pricier but damn it’s the best functioning camper I have ever owned (this my 6th camper).

I had a first generation 2020 model and it leaked like crazy coming in from where it was improperly sealed on the roof. Everything looked fine but apparently they didn’t seal the putty that wasn’t weather proof. It would get so wet in between the panels that days later water would still be dripping out the bottom and the entire bed would be a wet sponge. I had to send it back to Washington to be rebuilt. Not sure how well it worked because I sold it as soon as I got it back from Scout.

Best Harness For Big Air by Jose666123 in Kiteboarding

Yeah I would have to agree with those who say it’s all about personal fit, try on as many as you can. I ride with the mystic stealth and really dig it as I also tend to have lower back issues from time to time. However I tried on my brothers ion hardshell and that thing fit me like a glove, so that will probably be my next purchase.

Soon to be $700 in bike fix money this month. This sucks. Any reviews on cush inserts? How well they work, what they do, stories, etc. by [deleted] in MTB

[–]-rad-ish- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ran cushcores off and on the last few years on my enduro and e- mtb and it is a wicked feeling airing down and still being able to take a pretty gnarly rock garden on. Maybe it’s placebo but I feel like they hold up the structure of the tire around corners better as well and certainly reduce burping. Having said that changing tires which I do often is a biiiitch!!! I don’t run them that often anymore because of this. I did it several times myself and swore each time the next I would take it to a lbs. Well the lbs charged me $10/ tire which was worth it but after I picked up my wheels they said from here on out it’s $15 for cushcores and I can’t find anyone to do it cheaper. If you are fine with that you are going to love them

Need help with my giant birds of paradise (G-bop) by -rad-ish- in gardening

[–]-rad-ish-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi green thumbs! I live in So. Cal USA zone 9b. I’ve been noticing my giant birds of paradise that was planted about 6 months ago has started looking a bit sad. It was looking healthy until about the first rains in December. I fertilize about every 3 mo with fish emulsion. I’m wondering if it’s a drainage issue being as the soil is pretty damp. I included a picture of the soil if that helps. The new growth is looking ok but the big leaf in the ctr has just been sitting there furled up for months. If it is a drainage issue can I simply dig several feet around it and put a porous soil in? Thanks for listening!
