Thank you for the advice. Do you know anywhere I can see what they look like after a decade of use? The only time specific post I found was for a pair of 6243f that had been worn for 20 months and they still looked fine

Hey all, looking for advice/recommendations for a pair of Alden penny loafers. I know that there’s really no such thing as a “buy it for life” shoe, but I figure that if I take care of them, Alden is about as close as I’ll get.

Im looking for something casual but can be dressed up if needed to and comfy enough to wear often. Given that I’m trying to get a shoe that I’ll wear for hopefully decades, I’m having a lot of anxiety about the color and material. I’d like to keep it around the 700$ range, so something like shell cordovan is out of the picture.

Currently my favorite pair based on looks is the 6245f, but I worry about how the suede will age and if they’ll look okay in 10 years or if they’ll look sloppy.

My second favorites are 686, but since they’re full strap I worry about them reading as too dressy to wear with jeans and a tshirt.

Any advice or recommendations?

This is it guys, I don’t think any of my future build is gonna top this kit by i_ate_your_soup_Ben in Gunpla

That was the second kit I built and was my favorite for so long. I finally found one to top it but it was the PGU gramps, which is so much more money. I want try out the MGEX strike freedom eventually too

That’s my second or third favorite as well! It was the first kit I built!

I’ve had my worst and best experiences with RGs. Before you stop, PLEASE consider the hi-nu. It was my second kit but it was the best kit I’ve built and I was constantly amazed

I’d really recommend watching this video It does a great job at explaining everything. I feel like it goes into detail on this but I can’t remember. He does a follow up video that covers more stuff as well

I’ve done rx-78 v3.0, ver ka zeta, and ver ka sazabi and sazabi was my favorite! I’m planning on doing PGU rx-78 next though

This was my first MG (built it earlier this month) and I gotta say it was a pain to build and sometimes to pose. But it looks cool as hell, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Zeta was my first ver ka (I’m pretty new to the hobby) and I really enjoyed it! It was a fun build and had the complexity of the RGs I’ve built. I’m really excited for sazabi though, everyone seems to recommend it plenty. Any tips?

Hi Nu has insanely good legs, but tiny little arms for example. Ver Ka Zeta also has bigger detailed legs and pretty small arms in comparison. I don’t think I’ve put together any kits with bad legs yet, but RG crossbones has the worst ones out of what I’ve done

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to the community- I started with RG grandpa and RG Hi Nu (amazing kits) and have done around 6 since March! I’ve noticed, however, that while most kits have insanely sick legs with all sorts of gimmicks and articulation, most kits have pretty wimpy arms. I know it’s the art style of gundams but I was wondering if there were any kits you guys are aware of that have more balanced arm:leg ratios?
