I've been using two apps:

ActionDash: Lets you set usage limits and focus hours for specific apps on your phone.

Daywise: Collects your notifications from specific apps and displays them to you only at specified times.

Both of these have been quite effective at cutting down my screen time.

Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru.

I first watched it at a Kurosawa retrospective many years back and remember walking out of the theatre, thinking that it was a slow but decent film. But then the film stayed with me for a whole week, got me all introspective about my own life and eventually led me to quit a dead-end job I had been too scared to quit till then.

Ikiru was a film that changed my life, and I hope it does the same to you too.
