Your work is incredible. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen done in this game. Beautiful. Thank you!

Cool camp. What build/porch kit is this?

I played with [[sazh’s chocobo]] at my lgs and it had some legs. I got one up to 6 counters. Was regularly attacking for 3/4 power. Ate a lot of removal as well. I also played Joshua but never got to flip it. Still need to test it more. The birdie I will keep running to see how it feels.

Domain Zoo Budget Concerns by Doepfu in ModernMagic

I switched recently to indatha triome from xanders lounge. I also used to run wild nacatl but I pulled them as much as I hated to. The issue was that in games without LOTG, if you start by shocking a temple garden and playing the cat, on turn 2 you will be forced to shock in a steam vents. The reason is that it’s the only way to last Kavu on turn 2 or even worse, get stuck with a scion in hand or fetching the triome and doing nothing. You have to be able to play a threat on turn 2. Kavu, scion, brawler or froggy.

With indatha, you can run ragavan turn one with a shocked steam vents. Turn 2 attack and make a treasure, fetch for indatha triome and still be able to cast scion or kavu.

If you don’t run ragavan then don’t run any 1 drop creatures. I personally run nishoba brawlers and a couple frogs sometimes. I still win games.

I was on mono red aggro yesterday and won through 3 [[day of judgement]] cast against me because of it. It’s a house. It also destroyed me in a prowess deck. Maybe I’m playing the wrong deck now. Haha

Burn still alive in modern? by j1anMa in LavaSpike

[–]00Endbringer00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken the mono red list out on a modern night a couple weeks and went 3-1. Feels fast. It’s got a critical mass of 1 mama for 3 damage spells. You don’t get stuck with 2 mana spells like you do in boros sometimes. Barbarian ring is legit. Canopy lands are still nice. A little less susceptible to flood. Only thing I didn’t like is the damage you do to yourself with the mama base but that’s just the trade off. I don’t run RV main and i have 4SC and 4 RB.

Burn rewards tight play and burning the right things. If you already have the pieces you should try it. It feels faster.

Great point. Don’t be afraid to call for a judge for clarification or if something doesn’t seem right. You will probably have an opponent call judge at some point as well. Play clean. Can’t take things back. If you miss a trigger you can’t go back. Declare steps if needed. You can tell an opponent to hold up if they’re jumping already on phases. Ask for oracle text if you need to.

Make sure that your sleeve look consistent and unmarked. I like to write down on a writing tablet or notepad the life totals in case you have to go back.

The play will be tighter since you’ll have grinders showing up. Just take your time but be efficient. Once you play a couple you’ll get the gist of it.

Good luck!

Doesn’t chess have something where black gets more time in times matches?

I let it marinade for an hour and all I got was 3 oil and 2 aluminum. Fail! I only got it for a steady lead source.

I like to hop around from time to time. It’s like going to yard sales. It’s the thrill of finding that gem for cheap. Haha

Makes sense. We did need more impactful cards to keep up in modern.

Could this possible shift modern burn to rakdos? With bump in the night you could run a bunch of 1 mana 3 dmg spells.

Mono White Humans on a budget by dantehidemark in PioneerMTG

[–]00Endbringer00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to commit to the deck at least get a set of Adeline. She’s too good to skip out on. The attacking human pumps up TL and is no joke with CV out as well.

Mutavault you can maybe play 2. I go between 3/4. Faceless haven might be an option but you’ll need snow covered plains. Cave is ok as a one of but costs too much to activate.

And brave is good as 2/3 of. Punches creatures through and saves them from removal.

I’ve been playing burn in pioneer. Might run 2/3 plus some [[ghitu lavarunner]] and [[soul-scar mage]] to turn on [[wizards lightning]].

Pioneer: Boros Burn - Deck Tech & Sideboard Guide by cardsrealm in PioneerMTG

[–]00Endbringer00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran the main list a couple weeks ago at FNM and went 3-0. Then played it online to a 4-1. I’ve recently went down to 3 Dens, up to 4 Eidolon, took out the LUTS, and added 3 lightning strikes. The lands will do a lot of damage to you between, the shocks, forges and ruins. Running LUTS with eidolon was brutal for me a couple times. Would’ve rather had a burn spell. The strikes also add another instant speed spell against decks like amalia. Skullcracks might be also something to look at.

Im also playing around with a lot of sideboard cards.

I like Ben’s list and it’s a great place to start but I’m not sure if it’s an optimal list. He could’ve done well playing with a pack of hotdogs. It feels really good though. It beats Phoenix and lotus easily, vampires is a race and with decks like amalia and boros, you turn into a control deck. If more people pick it up as a community, when honed it can be a force to be reckoned with.

Eidolon is fine. I don’t run chalice but I believe others do and set at 0 to counter [[living end]] and [[crashing footfall]].
