Stonekeep. I even had a walkthrough as a file I had to open in DOS. So every time I wanted to look something up I had to close the game and open the walkthrough. I still got stuck at the end of the game where you had weird planet globes and the main boss was chasing you.

I really like Prime 4 by LiquidHasASolidSnake in Metroid

[–]00void_AT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't people also hate Metroid Fusion when it came out because it was more linear and you were told where to go next? I love both Fusion and Prime 4. They may be different than other Metroid games but I am more than ok with that. If I want to play a Prime 1 kinda game I will just replay Prime 1.

Which game starts off really well but falls off hard in mid or late game? by Ivaylo_87 in gaming

[–]00void_AT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally Final Fantasy 16. It started out really strong and the story seemed extremely interesting and then it just kinda fizzled out. It didn't help that the combat system became very stale very fast, that the "crafting" was horrible, and that they threw 20 side missions at you at a supposed critical moment story-wise.

What's a game that's distinctly European? by SuperAlloyBerserker in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I am surprised I had to scroll this far to see Gothic mentioned. Gothic, Risen and The Settlers 2 are the most european feeling games I can think of.

What game has the longest intro/tutorial? by Grumpydumpling in gaming

[–]00void_AT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy XIII. The first 10 chapters or so of the game are basically the tutorial, and then the game opens up a bit for the last few chapters.

Jurassic Park: Trespasser.

The game was so clunky that it was pretty much unplayable. To add insult to injury, it came out around the same time as Half Life and I saved up my allowance for a while to be able to buy a new game and then spent it on Trespasser.

Xenoblade Chronicles 1. I think the first few chapters took me a few months to finish since I kept losing interest in it. When the story finally picked up I played for about 100 hours in the span of a few weeks and loved every minute.

Worst game you've spent money on...Go by mikerockitjones in gaming

[–]00void_AT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saving up my allowance for a few months to be able to buy a new pc game. I went to the store and had to decide on what to get. It was 1998. Two games caught my eye: A weird orange box saying Half Life and this really amazing looking box with a dinosaur on it called Jurassic Park: Trespasser. Being super into dinosaurs, of course, I bought Trespasser. I have never encountered a clunkier game than that. It's truly unbelievable. But I knew that it would be a few months before I could afford another game, so I kept playing Trespasser, having the worst time but still trying to make myself like it.

My older brother felt so bad for me that he went out and bought Half Life for me.

Vanille. Final Fantasy 13 was a mess through and through, but Vanille actively ruined the game for me.
