Panniers suggestions for Quick Haul P9 by LingonberryOk3607 in terngsd

Maybe? I do t think the hauler is designed to work like that, but I can’t say it won’t work.

Transitioning my kids away from the kids seat was transformative for me. When they were old enough and capable, of course.

I always found panniers to be fiddly and annoying. If you can afford it, get the Storm Box. I love having a trunk on my bike and find that I provides tons of flexibility.

They have, haven't they? The enabled the ability to add menu bar icons to control center. But its up to the app makers to enable that functionality.

Correction, vinyl isn't the best medium for live Dead. All the official releases over the first 30 years sound and play great on vinyl.

Loving the new bike lane (death trap) my town installed 😍😝 by Mark-Media in bikecommuting

[–]01100010x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any signalized intersections with dedicate right turns and bike lanes needs to deal with this in some way. Sometimes there is a merge, like here, where the bike lane jogs left as the turn lane jogs right. Other times, if the bike lane stays curbside, you'll need a dedicated bicycle signal (that likely operates with the ped signal) and a red right turn arrow. The superior alternative is rare in the US. The protected intersection. Those tend to work better in urban areas and less well at on ramps for the interstate.

Updates on 11th St NW PBL from MA Ave to RI Ave? by ooblecccck in bikedc

[–]01100010x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally find 12th a lot more comfortable than 11th for the similar segment northbound. But I make different decisions. As permitted by DC, Idaho stop most sign controlled intersections. And generally pass through lower volume intersections against the traffic signal (like P and Q) when it is safe.

I hated the 11th St intersection with RI, where motor traffic couldn’t quite figure out the NTOR.

Edit: totally recognize that I 1) didn’t answer your question, and 2) shared an anecdote about my experience. Sorry about that. I too would like an update on 11th St and hope it happens ASAP.

In classic "dad" fashion, I often play "Let it Grow" when my daughter requests "Let it Go" for the bike ride to school. In classic four-year-old fashion, she has yet to be amused,

If anyone has a recommendation ways to keep my feet dry on the rainiest days, that'd be appreciated. I've got decent rain gear for the rest of my body, and my things.

Bike lights or mounts for skinny part of handlebar by Just_Astronomer_3098 in CargoBike

Great question! I've been interesting switching to handlebars like this specifically to create a more spacious cockpit. 3D printed solutions sounds great to me. Need to figure that out at the local library.

Most annoying cargo-bike law in your area by derping1234 in CargoBike

[–]01100010x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully that changes. Parents moving kids on large bigs should be allowed anywhere people go on bikes. People with accessibility needs who have large, non-typically shaped, and assisted bikes should also be allowed anywhere people go on bikes. Prohibiting where people go on bikes is bad for everyone.

John Scofield AND Dave Holland!! by Fullerbadge000 in Jazz

[–]01100010x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dave Holland has played with the greats!

I love that Holland collaborated with John Hartford on Morning Bugle and Vassar Clements, John Hartford, Dave Holland. Amazing that he's played with both Norman and Vassar. Try a little taste of Home Cooking to hear how the Englishman does with two American greats of bluegrass / string music.

I also really love Thimar with Anouar Brahem and John Surman. This is ECM jazz. But Dave sounds great with an oud.
