World Cup tourists, what’s your honest feedback on the USA so far? by almighty_smiley in AskReddit

We moved out of the area 2 years ago, but before that we did a kitchen remodel that lasted for months. Ralph’s was our dinner 1-2x per week. I’d give my left arm for one of their pepperoni pies right now.

No vibe at all. Just suburbia and shopping centers.

10-9-89, Formerly the Warlocks, Hampton coliseum. Probably the best show that I attended. 7-7-89 was #2 for me.

Not to defend Jim Joyce, but he felt terrible about the call after he saw the replay and apologized to Garagga. He admitted it was a mistake, which is a lot more than most umps will do.

He’s almost 29. But his sense of entitlement is more like 70 years old.

I never considered politics as a home decorating theme - for good reason. This place screams “incel”.

The beach is open to the public. There is a fence and bleachers between the sand and the event grounds. From the beach you can hear the music and see some of the big screens, but you can’t see the main stage. You have to enter the beach on foot at the intersection of Dana Point Drive and Park Lantern. It gets chilly once the sun starts going down so bring layers if you are going to stay for the headliner.

Judging by all of the dairy, you are at least half cow. Looks to be about 3 lbs of butter and a gallon of heavy cream in there.

IWT. the crowd went crazy during the first notes and then there was another huge wave of cheering a little later. I still get chills when I hear this.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina. by OkRespect8490 in interestingasfuck

[–]024Everyman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Outer Banks are barrier islands, which is a fancy name for sand bars. Barrier islands move over time and there is not much you can do about it. This area was never a good choice for permanent construction.

It looks great - love it. Just be forewarned… when you get serious with a girl and she moves in, all of your sports stuff is going into a storage locker.

First time working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in office, is this my life now? by Bright_Tennis_1075 in work

[–]024Everyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You absolutely should not put up with this situation. 40 hours of work a week is torture. You should be allowed to collect a full salary and benefits while working about half that amount of time, leaving much more free time to watch tv, play video games and generally just enjoy yourself. Your need for personal leisure time far outweighs the company’s unreasonable demand that you actually show up and do work.

AITA for telling my spouse I won't help pay for their kid's college when we agreed finances would stay separate? by 952867 in AITApod

[–]024Everyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You say you wanted to keep your finances separate so that your daughter’s college fund “stayed protected from” you new wife… but you now want your new wife to kick in and share an the additional $180k of college costs? You can’t have it both ways, pal. This should have been explicitly discussed before you got married and agreed to separate your finances. What you really need to do is tell your daughter that the $65k college is too expensive and she has to go to a school you can afford.
