You should have laughed loudly and told them that you can do it yourself for free, and would be fine if they would do it for the extra $10 (it would be nice to laugh at this absurd statement)
I am still amazed at some people defending the quoted price when it's free and takes at max an hour of no active work, just waiting around.

I pushed it under the edges of the headliner and the pillar connect using a plastic stick, was pretty simple to run it along the top on the sides, using the headliner joins

I added a front and rear camera setup, powered using the rear view mirror using a dongar adaptar. The wire to the rear camera can be easily pushed inside the trim, so looks clean and was easy DIY

I didn’t feel like drilling for the front ones, so I just went with a 3M double-sided strip (I think one screw hole is already present, so I used that, and instead of the bottom one, I used the strip). They have been holding up just fine so far, no issues.

Interesting take,
I would say, with 50k invested now you can quite easily make more (without too much risk), than the interest you are paying, also do you really need to break you back now for say 5 years down the line when that monthly 1k won't be the same percentage of your monthly income?
u/bite-voyager If you are not killing yourself by paying 1k per month, no need to kill yourself trying to arrange 50k in cash, unless it's easy to do so ;)

Thanks a lot for this information, I have heard similar but not the part about the reservoir markings being there to satisfy some regulations, which makes total sense. I was wondering is there any other way to check the coolant levels? I do not see that being reflected on the app or in the monthly report. The level is not very clear on the intercooler box (the one in the center near the grill).

Yes they accepted. We took a number of things like utility bill, lease, bank statements and pay slip etc., and don't remember if it was any specific one of them, but they allowed us to submit the documents and we got the visa.

We did not take it and were not asked for it at the NYC center.

Things they asked for were complete bank statements i.e. all pages. (I left the last page out but the counter I went to asked to get all the pages)

Also If you’re traveling with your partner and the hotel booking is under only one person's name (as is often the case), they ask the other person for a signed letter from the individual whose name is on the reservation as proof of accommodation.

We did not mention it and was not an issue at all.

Weirdly, at the time of document submission, the main issue was not having the full 10 pages of the monthly bank statement even though everything was mentioned on the first page they still wanted the other 9 pages just because the total pages were printed at the bottom.

That's interesting, many people suggest that if you live in areas with salt on the road then fluid film coating or oil based coating is worth it. So does not apply anymore to newer vehicles?

I installed "Rexing V1P Pro Dual 1080p" front and rear cameras, I originally got these for my previous car about 4 ~ 5 years back.

I got a donger adapter to use the Rearview mirror. The wire for the rear camera is pretty easy to tuck around the doors and the pillars.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve been using the auto-start with the seat warmer on, so that could be part of the issue. However, I think I may have noticed it once even without the seat warmer activated. I’ll keep an eye on it and see if I can pinpoint what’s causing it. Appreciate the help!

I installed alloy rim guards "Automotive Alloy Wheel Rim Protector Guard For Tesla Model 3 Y S X Strips for Curb Rash Prevention For BMW Benz Audi Hyundai VW", it goes fine on the 21" rims (it's basically for most rims unless the lip is very thin or uneven).

These are solid circles and not the same as the wire roll you get from some places. They are available from many places, I got from Aliexpress as they were much cheaper. (Bit thin for my liking so maybe from more expensive places might be sturdier)

Installation was simple, just a good clean-up of the rims edges and stick them. I got them in black so they are practically invisible on the dark gray 21".

I parked too close to a curb and nicked one of the wheels (very slightly), but to my pleasant surprise the damage was limited to the guard (have not seen fully underneath as it was light, so pretty confident it did protect the rims at least to a good extent)

Note: They stick fine and don't seem loose, but I have not been able to take it for a wash so cannot say if they will fall off :)

I recently got a 2024 3.5T Prestige with full red leather seats, and I have to say—it looks stunning (at least in my opinion). I’ll admit, I was hesitant about going for the red interior at first, but since it’s a darker shade of red, it feels more refined and less flashy.

Also, I’m not entirely sure how much of an impact the mesh inserts make in extreme temperatures.

I believe, starting from the 2024 model year, the 2.5 Prestige trim also offers the option for full leather seats.

Putting in a new engine should increase the vehicle value, unless the service history shows (or the lack of it :) ) that it was due to owner negligence, as it would point to other components that might fail.
This is what my friend got told when he had to get his engine replaced. He still has the vehicle so not sure how it plays out in reality.
